Katy Perry is getting some brutally honest fashion advice from her daughter.
The singer, 41, shared an adorable video featuring her 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, as she sorted through clothing she had previously worn on tour.
Rather than making the decisions herself, Perry turned to her young daughter for help deciding which pieces should stay and which ones should go.
Daisy Knows What She Likes
The former “American Idol” judge held up one outfit and asked Daisy whether she should keep it.
“If you like this outfit I’m going to keep this outfit for you and not give it away,” Perry said.
“It’s got two kitties on it,” she added.
Daisy’s response was simple.
“No.”
Perry then moved on to another outfit featuring flamingos and asked whether she should give it away.
“Yeah,” Daisy answered.
Perry asked again whether the piece should be kept or donated, and Daisy stuck with her decision.
“Give it away,” she said.
Not everything received the same treatment, however. Daisy approved of another dress, telling her mom to keep it. She also had a clear reason for liking another outfit.
“Because it has the sparkles,” Daisy said.
Fans Loved the Sweet Video
The sweet exchange quickly caught fans’ attention, with many people amused by how seriously Daisy approached her role as Perry’s tiny fashion consultant.
“when did daisy become a whole teenager,” one person commented.
“katy you have to keep them all,” another fan wrote.
“2008 Katy would have no idea her daughter would be roasting her outfits all this time later,” a commenter added.
Another fan pointed out the Canadian flag on Perry’s phone case, while others loved the way Daisy spoke during the exchange.
“She says ‘no’ with a british accent, so cute,” one person wrote.
“Daisy is such a queen,” another fan added.
Perry has previously opened up about how important it is to her to set an example for Daisy, whom she shares with her former fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom.
Earlier this year, Perry spoke to PEOPLE about bringing Daisy with her while she was on the road for her Lifetimes Tour in support of her album 143.
“It’s always incredible when I get to bring my daughter to work,” Perry said.
The singer said she wants Daisy to see her mother as someone who is confident and comfortable being herself.
“I think when mothers can be their most supported, authentic selves, that is always a good template for children to model,” Perry said. “And I’m just glad to model a strong, steady, intelligent, funny, weird woman for my beautiful daughter.”
Perry also said parents can only hope their children learn from them while ultimately becoming their own people.
“I think, as mothers and fathers, we’re just modeling something for our children, and all we can hope for is that they will grow up into better versions of ourselves — and themselves,” she said.
She added that living authentically could give Daisy an example to follow.
“I think if I’m out there living my most authentic, free, supported, empowered, smart, sexy life, and she’s going to have a pattern to follow, a model to follow,” Perry said.
Perry has also previously described Daisy as a mix of both herself and Bloom. In 2022, she said her daughter enjoyed watching her get ready for performances.
“Daisy’s with me all the time and she loves seeing Mama get ready and turn into the character,” Perry told PEOPLE at the time.
The singer also said Daisy was “a combination” of both parents, making the latest mother-daughter fashion conversation another glimpse at their relationship.
