Country star Scotty McCreery is now a father of two! The “American Idol” alum and his wife, Gabi, welcomed their baby boy on September 18. The couple shared their happy news via Instagram on September 23, posting a carousel of adorable photos of their little bundle of joy.
The McCreerys captioned the post, “Oliver Cooke McCreery joined our family on September 18th” and included a happy tears emoji and a blue heart. “Can’t imagine life without him, we love him so berry much!!”
McCreery is pictured all smiles next to Gabi as baby Oliver sleeps on her chest. In another photo the couple’s 2-year-old son Avery is shown cuddled up with the sweet little bundle looking like such a proud big brother.
Scotty McCreery Announced His Family Was Expanding in May
Back in May, the “Bottle Rockets” singer announced that he and his family would be welcoming a new member with a super cute Instagram post. “A new best friend coming this fall!” the caption read, along with two blue heart emojis.
McCreery and his wife were featured posing casually, dressed in matching jeans and white tees, while Avery was rocking a blue sweatshirt that read “Big Brother.”
On August 25, the family was off on a little road trip, depicted in another Instagram post. This time, Gabi’s baby bump was visible as the family posed in front of a bus. “Last bus weekend as a family of 3!” McCreery wrote in the caption.
McCreery & Avery Spent Quality Time Over the Summer
We think Avery is going to be an awesome big brother to baby Oliver, but he also got to share some fun alone time with his dad over the summer. In July, McCreery celebrated the release of his latest EP “Scooter & Friends” with a video featuring him and his toddler son jumping off a dock together in matching red life jackets and blue swim trunks.
McCreery’s hit song of the summer “Bottle Rockets” served as the soundtrack, with the opening lyrics, “Everybody’s got a summer that they can’t forget.”
In yet another Instagram post, the McCreery family is pictured enjoying their 4th of July weekend in a series of photos that captured them hanging out at the beach, lounging on a boat, and playing in the water.
It was likely a summer that they won’t forget, but now that baby Oliver is here the family will be making tons of new memories as a family of four.
