After “Big Brother” and “Traitors,” Cody Calafiore is ready for a completely new challenge. The reality star and his wife, Cristie Laratta, announced the birth of their first child on Instagram, along with photos of their little family.

On February 6, Calafiore posted two photos showing Laratta, him, and their newborn, Christian, sitting on a couch. While Calafiore held their son, Laratta cuddled up next to them, the couple grinning happily.

“Baby Christian is here,” the caption read. “Words can’t even begin to describe the joy and love we have for our little boy.”

The couple, who wed in Feb. 2024, first announced their pregnancy on Sept. 5, 2025. “New chapter starting 2026,” they wrote, thanking Nikki Page Photography for the beachside photos of the couple holding the ultrasound photos.

Calafiore appeared on “Big Brother” three times, including Season 16 and “Big Brother Reindeer Games.” He won Season 22’s “Big Brother: All-Stars.” He also appeared on the first season of the U.S. version of “Traitors,” alongside Brandi Glanville, Kyle Cooke, Ryan Lochte, and Cirie Fields. Fields went on to win, while Calafiore was dubbed one of the secret villains.

Several of the pair’s fellow reality stars sent their love in the comments.

“Congrats family,” wrote Josh Martinez, a “Traitors” contestant and the winner of “Big Brother” Season 19. “So happy for you.”

Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, who was in “Traitors” with Calafiore, wrote “Aweeee congrats!!!!!”

Calafiore Recounted Emotional Proposal to Cristie

Calafiore previously revealed to PEOPLE that he was incredibly nervous before asking Cristie to marry him. The couple had been dating for six years when he proposed.

“I had planned a dinner with family to make Cristie think it was just another Saturday,” he said. “I was so calm leading up to the proposal right until we got into the car and were on our way. At that point, I started rambling. Cristie became suspicious because I was acting strange!”

In his pocket, he had a note that said, “Let’s make it forever.” He took her to a park where Cristie’s brother and sister-in-law were waiting, along with a photographer. On the way in, he recalled a girl calling out to him, ‘You should ask her to marry you!'”

“At that point, I went full panic mode,” he added. “When she saw the flowers and the note, seeing her face light up made me so emotional. I felt like my stomach was in my throat when asking her to marry me.”
