Allie Eklund Reveals Steven McBee Jr.’s Surprising Attempt to Win Her Back After Split

Allie Eklund says Steven McBee Jr. made an extraordinary effort to repair their relationship after their highly publicized breakup, but she has no plans to give the romance another chance.

The “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” season 3 star opened up about the end of her relationship during an exclusive interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” revealing that the Bravo star tried to make amends by writing handwritten apology letters to each member of her family.

Despite the gesture, Eklund said her decision has not changed. She also addressed ongoing speculation surrounding her friendship with “Southern Charm” star Austen Kroll.

Allie Eklund Says Steven McBee Jr. Wrote Apology Letters to Her Entire Family

Eklund told Page Six that McBee went beyond apologizing directly to her after their split.

“He actually wrote each family member of mine a two-page handwritten letter apologizing and sent each of the girls in my family flowers,” Eklund said.

According to Eklund, the effort did little to change how her family viewed the situation.

“They made it clear that he would never be allowed in our house again,” she said.

The former couple made their relationship Instagram official in November 2025 before ending things in April after McBee publicly accused Eklund of cheating during the Stagecoach music festival.

Eklund denied the allegations and later shared screenshots of text messages she said McBee sent during their arguments. The messages included insults, with McBee referring to her using offensive language. He later issued a public apology video and entered a trauma retreat, saying he wanted to address his anger issues.

While McBee attempted to reconnect following the breakup, Eklund said his messages did not provide the accountability she was looking for.

“He was texting me a lot of messages [after the breakup],” she said. “To me, nothing felt like an apology or accountability. To me, it was more so, ‘I did this because…'”

Eklund added that she has no interest in reopening communication.

“I haven’t talked to him,” she said. “I don’t plan on talking to him.”

She also revealed that several of her belongings remain with McBee months after their split.

“Unfortunately, he does have both of those things,” Eklund said, referring to her vintage saddle and the horse McBee gifted her for her birthday in March. “Definitely the saddle — if he could send that in a box, that would be amazing.”

Allie Eklund Addresses Austen Kroll Rumors After Lunch Meeting

Eklund also spoke about recent dating speculation involving “Southern Charm” cast member Austen Kroll after the two were spotted having lunch together.

She said the meeting had nothing to do with a romantic relationship.

“He actually had a business venture he wanted to run by me, so we got lunch and discussed that,” Eklund explained.

As rumors spread online, Eklund said she wanted to make her intentions clear.

“We’re just friends. Talking business about a fun opportunity coming up,” she said.

Eklund did not reveal details about the project or whether it involves television. Reports have speculated that the conversation could be connected to Bravo or include a future appearance on “Southern Charm,” but neither Bravo nor Eklund has confirmed those reports.

New episodes of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” air Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and stream the following day on Peacock.
