Ally Lewber may not have said James Kennedy’s name outright — but “Vanderpump Rules” fans immediately believed they knew exactly who she was talking about.
Ahead of her appearance on Season 4 of Netflix’s “Perfect Match,” Lewber appeared in a promotional clip for the reality dating series where she discussed one of her biggest relationship dealbreakers. The video quickly spread across TikTok and Instagram, sparking thousands of comments from viewers connecting the story back to Kennedy.
“I broke up with someone once because he, like, talked too much about, like, boy things,” Lewber said in the clip.
She continued, “And then when I would talk about astrology, he would like interrupt me. I’m like immediately no.”
As she laughed, Lewber added, “I don’t want to call him out because it’s so obviously him.”
Fans Immediately Linked the Comments to James Kennedy
The clip generated major reactions online, with many fans convinced Lewber was referring to Kennedy despite never mentioning him by name.
“So James right?” one commenter wrote.
Another fan added, “I mean it wasn’t immediately no.. she was with him for like 6 years?”
Others defended Lewber and referenced moments from “Vanderpump Rules” that played out during the couple’s relationship.

Kennedy was arrested in December 2024 on suspicion of domestic violence. Prosecutors later declined to file charges, and Kennedy’s attorney said at the time that the investigation found insufficient evidence to move forward with a case.
