RHOBH’s Newest Star Says She’s Being Completely Misunderstood

Amanda Frances thinks she is misunderstood on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

In a January 2026 interview, the self-made “money queen” told “Housewives Nightcap” that she has been trying to appear relatable to her older castmates as she attempts to become part of their group, but that her actions have been taken the wrong way.

When asked about the perception that she tries to “one-up” her co-stars, Frances, 41, explained. “I see how it maybe can look that way if you see that one little thing I said,” she admitted. “But in the whole context of what I was experiencing was me trying to find things to relate to. Trying to find commonalities.”

Frances joined the RHOBH cast for Season 15. Early on, the entrepreneur caught flack for boasting about money, her home, and career.

In a RHOBH Season 15 episode, co-star Sutton Stracke said in a confessional, “I’m starting to notice Amanda might be the kind of person that will one-up or measure up.”

“She’s got to say ‘I have that too’ or ‘I do that too,'” Stracke noted, per People magazine.

On Housewives Nightcap, Frances said she’s proud of how far she’s come in her career.

“Do you know what I think is also like the biggest misunderstanding in my life in my world?” the Bravo newcomer shared. “We are all extremely proud of ourselves and of each other, and we brag on ourselves and on each other kind of continually. And we’re proud of each other with what we can buy and spend and afford and where we’ve gotten to in life. And there’s this overall overarching sense of gratitude. “

“So, I think if I say I spent $10,000 on crystals and I’m reflecting on I bought my first multi-million-dollar home in West Hollywood, and I went to the crystal store and I like bought all the crystals… I’m reflecting on that as like, Yeah, go girl. Good job spending 10,000 on crystals.’ That’s how anyone who knows me would have taken it.”

“I didn’t know [the other women] weren’t seeing it,” she said.

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, Frances admitted that some of her conversations and confessionals may have looked “awkward” to viewers.

“Maybe it was awkward in moments,” she acknowledged. “Maybe there was a touch of neurodivergence. We’re not all normal. We don’t all communicate the exact same way. I think there was gratitude and pride coming from me in a lot of these scenes, that when you just get a chunk of it, you don’t see that Amanda is really appreciative for her life and what she’s created.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Frances admitted she’s dreading the upcoming RHOBH reunion taping. “[I feel] absolutely awful,” she said. “Why do we want to sit around for 18 hours and fight with each other about things that we need to get over?”

Despite her dread over rehashing the bad times, Frances admitted she had some “fun” times while filming the reality show.

“I had fun moments,” she said. “Here’s what it would be like, though. It’s so stressful. You would have fun doing something like they’re going to see us grape stomping in Italy, if I can give you that example. Riding through a vineyard. Fun. Fun. And then you’re like, ‘God, I have to confront that [expletive ] person about the thing I heard they said about me.’ Is that what you want to do after you grape stomp?”

Frances explained that she believed that if she continued to be herself and stay out of unnecessary drama, she would be okay. “I really tried my best, but that meant that other people worked hard to try to bring something else out of me,” she said, before admitting that she wouldn’t have done anything differently.

“You know, I was working with what I knew and with what I had,” the RHOBH star said. “There’s maybe a couple things where I’m like, now that I’ve reflected on it more, I’m like, okay, I could have spoken up there or something like that, but no, nothing major.”

  1. I find her to be a braggart and a disconnect from the other ladies.
They don’t tell you how much money they spend a day, or try to up their counterparts. Amanda grow up.
