Ariana Biermann is opening up about a surprising childhood experience involving her mother, Kim Zolciak.
In a recent TikTok, the 23-year-old influencer and “Next Gen NYC” star revealed that her freckles were lasered off when she was just 14 years old — and that it wasn’t her choice.
Ariana Biermann Shares Childhood Memory About Freckle Removal
“Every time I do my makeup, whether it’s a full face or just a little bit, I always put on freckles,” Biermann said while filming a selfie-style video of herself doing her makeup. “Every time I do it, it makes me think of the fact that I would not be putting on these freckles had my mother not have gotten rid of my freckles when I was 14.”
According to Biermann, Zolciak, 47, told her she was going for a facial — but she didn’t realize what was happening until later. “My friend asked, ‘Girl, where are your freckles going?’” she recalled.
When Biermann questioned the aesthetician, she learned that the treatment had been ordered by her mom. “Your mom told me that you didn’t like them and you wanted me to remove them with the facial, like, lasering them off,” the technician allegedly told her.
“I didn’t want them removed. Nobody said. Literally nobody said,” Biermann insisted in her video.
Biermann said she was shocked because she had always loved her freckles, calling them part of her identity. Now, nearly a decade after the treatment, the Bravo star revealed she still has a few left — “more on one side of [her] face than the other.”
Ariana Biermann Reflects on Her Relationship With Mom Kim Zolciak
Though the story caught fans’ attention, Biermann emphasized that she and her mom are on good terms.
She went on to share that she recently reminded Zolciak of the moment during a phone call. “And she just started laughing,” Biermann recalled, calling “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum a “jackass.”
“Now I add them onto my face because I don’t have them anymore because somebody removed them,” Biermann said. “So now, I am constantly stamping them on and trying to make them look even remotely like what mine looked like growing up.”
While Biermann described the situation as “insane,” she kept her tone light and affectionate, making it clear there’s still love between them.
Zolciak appeared to take the comments in stride, responding to her daughter’s post with nine laugh-cry emojis.

The close bond between the mother-daughter duo was a recurring theme in Season 1 of “Next Gen NYC.” Earlier this year, Biermann claimed in an episode that her mom spent her childhood earnings from brand deals and reality TV.
Zolciak later addressed the claim on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, saying she “borrowed” the money to help pay bills during a difficult financial period.
Despite their ups and downs, Biermann still considers her mom her “best friend” and maintains that she’s focused on moving forward while embracing her individuality — freckles and all.
