Ariana Madix Is Heading Back to Broadway With a Major New Role

Ariana Madix is heading back to Broadway — and this time, she’s taking on the role of Connie Francis.

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens and John Frost confirmed that the Emmy-nominated “Love Island USA” host will join the cast of “Just in Time” for a limited engagement, according to Deadline.

Madix will begin performances Saturday, Sept. 12, and play her final performance Sunday, Nov. 22.

Madix Is Happy to Be Back

For Madix, the opportunity marks another return to a stage she has already grown familiar with.

“It’s a pinch-me moment to be able to come home to the Broadway stage, and all I could have ever hoped for,” Madix said. “I am beyond excited to work with the legends behind Just in Time and to entertain audiences at one of my favorite theaters in the city!”

Fans were quick to celebrate the casting news, with many also hoping Madix’s Broadway schedule won’t interfere with her work on “Love Island USA.”

“awee yess, as long as she back for love island lol,” one fan wrote.

“This is fantastic casting! Now we will have two DWTS alumni on the show!!!!” another commented.

“Loveeeeeeeee!!!” a third fan wrote.

Madix Previously Spoke About Wanting to Go Back on Broadway

Madix previously made it clear that she hoped to return to Broadway after making her debut in 2024.

“I would love to go back to Broadway. I would love to — I’m turning 40 next year in 2025 — so I would love to feel that feeling. I’m manifesting this right now,” Madix told Us Weekly in December 2024.

She also opened up about entering a new stage of her life and hoping to feel more confident in herself.

“[I want to] feel that feeling that so many women talk about when they hit 40 or in their late 30s, 40s — that they feel like [they’re] so themselves and so comfortable with themselves,” she said.

Madix added, “I’m looking forward to feeling that. I don’t know that I’ve felt that yet, so I’m manifesting that now for myself.”

She first stepped onto Broadway as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” in 2024. Her initial limited engagement proved successful enough that she returned to the production for another limited run in August of that year.

Now, Madix is moving from Roxie Hart to Francis in “Just in Time,” the musical centered on the life and career of Bobby Darin.

The production originally starred Jonathan Groff as Darin and opened on Broadway on April 26, 2025. Gracie Lawrence originated the role of Connie Francis, with Isa Briones, Olivia Holt and fellow “Love Island USA” host Sarah Hyland among those who have subsequently played the part.

Madix is not the only reality television personality joining the “Just in Time” company. “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt is set to take over the role of Sandra Dee beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026.

For Madix, the Broadway return comes as she continues to expand her career well beyond reality television. After rising to fame on “Vanderpump Rules,” she has built a growing résumé that includes acting, hosting and live theater.

Her latest Broadway role gives fans another chance to see Madix tackle a very different kind of performance — this time, as one of music history’s most recognizable voices.
