Austen Kroll was put in the hot seat regarding his relationship with his “Southern Charm” co-star, Salley Carson.
During a Feb. 4 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the Bravo TV star admitted that he had an attraction to Carson from day one, despite being in a relationship with his then-girlfriend Audrey Pratt.
After host Andy Cohen asked him, “When you first met Salley, regardless of your relationship status, were you attracted to her?” Kroll easily replied, ‘Yes.”
Kroll also revealed that his mom, Wendy, liked the idea of Salley as someone he could possibly settle down with. “At first, she was like, ‘I don’t know, Austen.’ But then she met her and she’s like, ‘I really like Salley,'” he shared.
Kroll added that he was not sure that Carson was really looking for marriage and kids at this time. “Salley’s been going out… her habits are not conducive with her saying that she wants to settle down and have a family,” he noted.
Austen Kroll Admitted His Ex Wasn’t a Salley Fan
While filming “Southern Charm” last summer, Carson made her attraction to Kroll known, despite the fact that he was with Pratt at the time. “I’m a girl’s girl,” she said in the episode “Making Waves.” “I love Audrey, but my personality fits with Austen very well. I mean, would I hook up with him? The day after they break up, let’s go!”
Kroll’s relationship with Pratt didn’t survive the “Southern Charm” season. The two confirmed their split in November 2025 after nearly two years of dating.
“Audrey did not like Salley,” Kroll told Cohen on WWHL. “You know, she thought that, you know, Salley overstepped,”
He also addressed Carson’s “giddy” reaction to his breakup, noting, “Not to throw shade, but… it’s kind of like an on-brand thing, you know? She is boy crazy.”
Austen Kroll Admitted He & Salley Are Alike
During his WWHL appearance, Kroll also revealed why some people think he and Carson are “the same person.” “I get that,” he said. “I understand Salley. I understand Salley a lot, which is why I find myself as close to her as I am.”
He previously pointed out that Carson is a flirt just like him.
“Look, Salley is a massive flirt. And I think that the audience would agree that I myself am a flirt,” the “Southern Charm” star told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea in December. “Salley and I honestly are really good friends, and I really, really appreciate her friendship, and I’m really happy for it to be honest. Salley and I have gotten close as friends.”
On WWHL, he confirmed that a recent hangout with Carson, Madison LeCroy, and her husband Brett Randle was not a double date.
“Madison’s probably trying to play matchmaker, now that you’re saying this,” Kroll told Cohen.
Austen & Sally: a match made in heaven for two narcissistic worthless people. My hope is that they will both emotionally cut each other to the core, eventually. They’ll deserve every minute of it.

Can’t stand Austin. He’s a no good person. Look what he did to Shep. We all know that Austin and Sheps ex did more then kiss. But that’s something they will both take to their Graves. And as far as Austi,n, the jealously is sooo obvious he’s extremely jealous of Craig. Let’s face it Craig is the best catch on the show. When Craig falls in live he only has eyes for that person. He is a faithful guy to both of his exces.we are all praying that Austin gets off of the show and bring Venita with him. We are all 100% on Craig’s team. And we know the third time finding love again will be the charm. And he will get married and have the family he’s been wanting for a long time. Let’s face it Craig is a self made multi millionaire. What does Austin have????? That tells it all…..PERIOD
