Former cast member of Bravo‘s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Brandi Glanville has been experiencing some setbacks with her health in recent months.
The reality TV star is opening up about her medical ailments in two recent videos that she shared via social media.
Glanville has been candid about facing struggles with a facial parasite and a face tumor that has left her disfigured.
“For the first time, I’m showing you what my life has really looked like behind closed doors,” she wrote in a caption for the first video. “The treatments. The IVs. The exhaustion. The days nobody saw. I haven’t been ready to talk about all of it publicly, and there’s still a lot I’m not ready to share yet. This is only one minute of a much bigger story.”
In the first video, she reveals that she’s been undergoing IV treatments lasting 18 hours, admitting they have have made her “so skinny right now” by inhibiting her appetite.
“I can’t eat because the things I do decreases my food,” Glanville said while demonstrating her preparations to begin her daily infusions.
‘I Feel Like Death’
As Glanville told her Instagram followers, the infusions left her feeling awful.
“I feel like death,” she shared. “I look like death.”
She continued by offering more information on her medication regimen.
“I just finished this IV, it’s Imipenum. It’s on a pump. I had to learn to do all these with the nurse,” she explained.
According to Glanville, her nurse “comes four hours a day in the evenings to do my other IV,” but is on her own for another IV, lasting four more hours.
“And then I start this at 4 o’clock, the Imipenum, and I have that overnight,” she continued.
An Exhaustive Process
As Glanville told her followers, all those infusions take up 18 hours of each day, and require “a lot of setup.”
Beause of the amount of time those treatments take, she’s become more or less housebound, revealing that the “only time I leave my house is to do my podcast.”
Another Challenge
While Glanville continues to get her health back on track, fans will soon watch her face an entirely different challenge with the debut of the new season of Fox reality hit “Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.”
“The jungle can kill you before the enemy even has a chance,” warns a teaser for the upcoming season, with Glanville joined by fellow celebs Candace Cameron Bure and her fellow celebs, Matt Barnes, Alycia Baumgardner, David Charvet, Collin Gosselin, Oliver Hudson, LeSean McCoy, Maxim Naumov, Ruby Rose, George Santos, Hannah Stocking, Breana Tiesi, Alexia Umansky and Mauricio Umansky.
The teaser begins with the cast members relaxing poolside in a mansion. “I said, ‘We’re not going to talk politics or religion.’ And now look at who I’m sitting in between,” Glanville jokes as she points to Santos, a former congressman, and Cameron Bure, who has never been shy about expressing her faith.
As the trailer reveals, however, that moment of relaxation does not last for long.
The fifth season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” premieres Thursday, September 24 on Fox.
