Bravo Star Eliminated on Day 1 of ‘Special Forces’

Brittany Cartwright became the first celebrity eliminated from “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” after quitting during the season-four premiere, citing exhaustion and stress during the show’s opening challenge.

The Fox reality competition series debuted Sept. 25 with its recruits immediately split into two teams and dropped into a remote part of the Moroccan desert.

Under intense heat and pressure, contestants repelled from a hovering helicopter and then carried heavy barrels, bags of grain and camp supplies—tasks designed to test both physical strength and endurance.

Cartwright, a television personality known from “Vanderpump Rules”, struggled early.

After narrowly making it down from the helicopter, she began lagging behind during the haul of supplies. “I’m, like, dying, sorry,” she told trainer Jovon “Q” Quarles, adding “I can’t. I don’t think I can make it.”

Cartwright Decides to Leave

She reflected that she was out of shape compared with her expectations for such a grueling contest.

As her team finished last gathering survival necessities, they were ordered to run back to camp on foot.

Cartwright said she began to panic during the sprint, falling behind about 500 yards in. She told Quarles she felt she was going to pass out and became nauseated.

Ultimately, Cartwright decided to withdraw from the competition. “I knew I was gonna be first … so embarrassing,” she said, expressing disappointment at her early exit.

Cartwright Dished on ‘Special Forces’

The reality TV star previously stated how the show was the most difficult thing she had tackled.

“It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life,” she said while appearing on an August 12 episode of “Detox Retox With Tom Schwartz.”

She added, “I’ve been very open about heights and how that terrifies me so doing different things like that, I’m proud of myself.”

Cartwright also struggled with being away from her four-year-old son Cruz, whom she shares with Jax Taylor. She opened up on the separation while speaking with Us Weekly prior to the show airing.

She told the outlet she would video-chat with Cruz “any chance that I got.” The Bravo star also revealed she carried a photo of the two of them while she was competing in “Special Forces.”

Cartwright noted that returning home to her son was “the best thing ever.”

Her departure leaves 17 remaining celebrities competing, including Teresa Giudice, Gia Giudice, Eva Marcille, Jussie Smollett, Kody Brown, and pairs such as Shawn Johnson and Andrew East, and Eric Decker and Jessie James Decker.
