The Adorable BravoCon Pet Award You May Have Missed

BravoCon was undoubtedly a busy time for fans of reality television. Among the biggest stories were new show announcements, cast reveals for upcoming seasons of your favorite series, plenty of spilled tea and hilarious moments from the biggest stars, some great looks from the guests, and even a few unexpected spin-off reveals, such as “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip.”

Bravo also used the event to host its very own awards ceremony in the form of the Bravos. While you may well have heard about many of the winners, one adorable category seems to have slipped everyone’s radar — and it’s one that celebrates the best pet from Bravo’s lineup of reality television shows

BravoCon Held Award For Best Animal Appearance

The award in question was the aptly named T’Challa Award for Best Appearance of an Animal. In this case, the winner was voted by the public in the run-up to the “BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen Presents: The Bravos segment during BravoCon.

Nominations for the award were named at the end of October and included some familiar faces for animal lovers. Revealed on the official Bravo site, they included:

The ultimate winner was revealed to be Shannon Beador’s dog, Archie, the loveable golden retriever who she adopted once her daughters moved out of the family home.

The moment, which can be seen above, was posted to Instagram and shows Beador going on stage to collect the award on her beloved pet’s behalf. Expressing equal parts excitement and bewilderment, she said, “Are you kidding me?”

“Okay, I am blown away all the time by the attention that Archie gets,” explained Beador. “I could post something to Instagram and it would get, you know, a thousand likes but then I post Archie and you guys love it. So thank you, he’s going to be so excited to see this.”

The Other Award Winners

Bravo also had plenty of other categories where fans could vote for their favorites. Bronwyn Newport’s heart-shaped cape took home the Fashion Forward Award, while Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” were named as the winner of the Dynamic Duos award.

The Bunny Honoree for Most Iconic Bravo Item of the Year went to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Dorit Kemsley for her revenge cigarette and the cast of “NextGen NYC” collectively took home the gong for best rookie.
