Brittany Cartwright has documented the highs and lows of her relationship with Jax Taylor for several seasons of Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” later allowing cameras to capture the unraveling of their marriage on its spinoff, “The Valley.”
Throughout it all, fans have admired Cartwright’s openness about the challenges of their separation and pending divorce, and her unwavering strength as she prioritizes both herself and their son, Cruz.
With Cartwright now single, fans have remained curious about what’s next for her, especially regarding her dating life. And while she’s been selective about what she shares, she’s offered a glimpse into why the future may look promising once her divorce is finalized.
Brittany Cartwright Shares an Intimate Look at Her Dating Life Today
GettyBrittany Cartwright was a guest on her “The Valley” co-star Lala Kent’s “Untraditionally Lala” podcast on Feb. 7, with the host asking the Kentucky-native how it has been dating while still married to Jax Taylor.
“I mean, I really I don’t feel like I’ve like actually been dating dating,” Cartwright shared with Kent, before adding that she forgot that after her separation from Taylor, she went on to date a man named Brandon Hanson for a few months in 2025.
“I forget that Brandon existed, honestly,” she shared with a laugh. “I hate that I just said that, but I forgot that I was actually in a relationship … I didn’t even think that I was in a short-lived, actual relationship, like that just doesn’t even seem like it happened anymore.”
However, Cartwright is feeling hopeful about what the future holds, particularly once her divorce from Taylor is officially finalized.
“Honestly, I think once my divorce is final, it’s going to open new doors for me in a weird way. A lot of stuff I do is in private,” she said.
Cartwright Split From Hanson in October 2025
GettyAccording to People, Cartwright went public with her relationship with Hanson in August 2025, with the former couple finding a bond over their divorces.
However, they were over by that October, with Cartwright sharing on her “When Reality Hits” podcast that same month, “We actually did not last. We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to.”
She continued, “It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance and he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we lived three hours away, so it was just too tough to keep it going. We really cared about each other.”
Since their breakup, Cartwright has not been publicly linked to anyone else. In fact, while speaking with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” and discussing her fallout with Hanson, she declared, “I love being single.”
Cartwright filed for divorce from Taylor in August 2024, and since then, the proceedings have stretched on, with the former couple encountering delays along the way.
