“The Valley” star Brittany Cartwright opens up about the latest details on maintaining her relationship with ex-husband Jax Taylor for the sake of their family, as well as learning how to navigate their co-parenting journey.

Brittany and Jax are currently co-parenting their 4-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, amid their divorce, and things are “going.”
“It’s going,” Brittany said in reference to her current relationship with Jax during an episode of her podcast on November 8. She admitted that there are “some things” going on between them that she won’t talk about. “But you know, I’m very much a full-time mom and I love it. And I appreciate that. I love everything.”
“You know, I think Jax is trying to work on himself,” Brittany said. “So I hope that, you know, we can continue to work on our co-parenting relationship and just get better and stronger all the time. And hopefully, one day, it will be a very successful co-parenting relationship, because that’s what really matters. Cruz is always going to come first.”
In an interview with ExtraTV in September, Brittany opened up about the “ups and downs” of her co-parenting experience with Jax.
“It’s Jax, so, always difficult. It’s always gonna be a challenge, but Cruz is the most important thing to both of us. So, we’re trying to get to a common ground. It’s just gonna take a little bit of time to heal,” she bravely admitted.
A Busy Mom of One
“But as of right now, I’m a full-time mom,” Brittany continued during the podcast episode. “And I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’ve been very, very busy.”
“And that’s good,” she said. “I love being busy, being a mom, and work, and everything else. So I’m feeling very blessed right now. Still working on that co-parenting relationship. So stay tuned. We’ll see how it goes.”
Brittany shared another update on being a mom in an Instagram post from November 1, where she documented their spooky Halloween night. In the photos, Brittany and Cruz can be seen sporting matching skeleton costumes, which they wore to go trick-or-treating alongside fellow “The Valley” cast members, Janet Caperna and Jason Caperna, and their son, Cameron.
“Skeleton crew,” Brittany wrote in the caption of the post. “Cruzy lasted a few houses and fell right to sleep lol it’s rough being all bones.”
Brittany has also been transparent about Cruz’s autism.
“If you’ve been following our journey, you know navigating Cruz’s autism has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned so much about the power of early intervention and how vital a supportive, understanding community truly is,” she wrote in her inspiring caption.
