Craig Conover and Charley Manley are sharing different perspectives about why their relationship ended during the season 11 reunion of “Southern Charm.”
While the Bravo stars did not fully unpack the breakup during part one of the reunion, the episode offered viewers an early look at the disagreement that will continue in part two of the special.
During the opening moments of the reunion, host Andy Cohen pointed out that Manley appeared to be agreeing with comments from Austen Kroll and Shep Rose about Conover’s version of events.
Both cast members suggested that Conover sometimes has a different interpretation of situations compared to others in the group.
Manley acknowledged that their perspectives do not always match.
“Yeah, I do think that in some certain situations that I’ve been a part of, I do not have the same explanation of it that Craig does,” Manley said.
Conover responded by defending his approach.
“I just call it how I see it,” Conover said. “Especially this year, I was 100 percent myself, and, like, that’s all you can do is just be vulnerable.”
Craig Conover Points to Cast Drama in Breakup
Later in the reunion conversation, Cohen asked Manley what Conover was like while they were dating.
“Oh, he was great,” Manley replied.
Conover then suggested that outside factors played a role in their relationship ending.
“And then this world got involved, and it just went away,” Conover said while gesturing toward the cast. He specifically referenced comments made by Salley Carson during the season.
Carson quickly pushed back on the suggestion that she was responsible for their breakup.
“I hate that I’m blamed for y’all not being together, because that is bulls(expletive),” Carson said.
Conover responded by referencing a situation during the season when Carson told him that Manley was speaking to other men.
“No, the whole time you just were like, ‘Charley’s talking to other boys,’” Conover said.
When Carson confirmed that she had mentioned it, Conover continued.
“Right, but she promised she wasn’t talking to anyone else the whole time we were together,” he said.
Charley Manley Shares Her Version of the Relationship Timeline
Manley disputed Conover’s account and said she never made a promise about not dating others.
She reminded Conover about a previous conversation regarding dating apps.
“There was a time whenever you were like, ‘Oh my god, should I get back on Raya?’” Manley said. “And I was like, ‘Hell yeah. I’m on Raya.’”
Despite the disagreement about timelines, Conover said he believed Carson had been looking out for him during the situation.
Looking back, he added that he “should’ve believed” Carson over Manley.
Charley Manley Says Mexico Trip Changed Her Feelings About Craig Conover
The turning point in the relationship occurred during the season 11 cast trip to Mexico.
After witnessing Conover’s behavior during a van ride involving Carson, Manley said she realized she no longer wanted to pursue a romantic relationship.
“The way that Craig acted was absolutely inexcusable,” Manley said in a confessional. “And I would hope that he would apologize, like not only to Salley, but to everyone else in the van.”
Manley later explained her thought process on the “Southern Charm After Show.”
“I’m thankful that I had a friendship with Craig before trying to explore anything romantically,” Manley said. “And I’m confident that, you know, me pumping the brakes on us romantically is not ruining our friendship.”
She added that the moment helped clarify her feelings.
“I was already so I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know, and then it was like OK, now I know,” Manley said.
Part two of the season 11 “Southern Charm” reunion is expected to revisit the situation.
According to the reunion description, Manley will also share an update about her current dating life while the group continues to discuss Conover’s behavior during the Mexico trip.

We the viewers of the show. This is what we saw and how it all looked to us. First of all Austin is the green eyed jealous man on the show. He couldn’t wait to tell Sally what Craig said about her. And he took it all out of context. That started the ball for the reason Craig got so loud with Sally and Austin. And Venita we all liked you but butting into Craig’s relationship with Paige by calling her when you really didn’t know anything about her or Craig’s relationship was wrong. And if you had a heart he Craig got his heart broken on national TV he really thought they were going to get married and have a life together. My God Venita he bought her an engagement ring. I’m glad you finally apologized but really sit down with him and you’ll and talk to him one on one. You’ll see what a great guy and friend he can be. Please don’t be a mean girl. Your mom didn’t raise you to be that kind of girl. Take your mom’s advice. She is a smart lady. Remember ladt year when it was the reunion ladt year Craig was on your side when it was about JT and you. But I say to Sally your barking up the wrong tree if you think Austin is going to marry you or you’ll be his new girlfriend. Look how he broke it of with Audrey. It was down right wring. Him walking away from. Her and hanging out with you. Austin has cheated on every one of his girlfriends. The one he’ll regret he let go was Madison. And look how he treated her. She got home to find him in bed with not 1 girl but 2 girls. That was it for her she kicked him to the curb and never looked back. And look how happy she is today. My Xraig to you Sally is be really for Craig friends with Craig and let him see the real Sally the good Sally, and I bet that you two would fall madly in love and have a beautiful life together.

Please somebody put Austin in his place and see what we see. He’s so jealous of Craig and got Craig to loos his temper so Austin can look like the good guy. Girls of Southern Charm watch this seasons show and you’ll see Austin tried to ruin Craig’s Reputation. We love Craig and hope he finds his real soulmate forever.
