The former assistant to Cameron Diaz added that, as a Bravo fan, she was excited to attend Bravocon and hang out with fellow fans.

Janet Defends Being a Bravo ‘Fan’

During season 2 of “The Valley,” Kristen Doute accused Janet of being a Bravo “superfan” and using Scheana Shay to get on reality television.

In an interview with Glamour, Janet shared that after moving to Los Angeles, she met Shay at a pool party, and admitted to being a fan of “Vanderpump Rules.”

“I started talking to her about life, and we had a lot of other things in common. We ended up talking for a majority of the day, and I left and was like, ‘Oh, that’s so funny. What a once-in-a-lifetime thing that I met Scheana and we had this great talk,'” the reality star recalled.

It turned out that the meeting would lead to a friendship with Shay, who took Janet to Disney for her birthday.

“She took me under her wing and showed me the ropes, and I thought that was the kindest thing,” Janet told Glamour.

She continued, “I think that people have run with it and made it into, ‘She must have used Scheana to get into the group to get on reality TV.’ And I see that, and that hurts my feelings because it makes me seem malicious and that I have bad intentions.”

“When really, Scheana showed me from the second I moved here that she was just a really good person and a friend to me, and that’s what I was looking for when I moved here — a community of people,” Janet added.

Janet Admitted To Doing Too Much in ‘The Valley’ Season 1

Janet became labeled as the pot-stirrer since starring in “The Valley” season 1, and she admitted that part of that was watching her Bravolebrity friends on reality television for years.

During her appearance on “The Viall Files,” she acknowledged her “villain” status and said, “Being a reality TV fan, watching Scheana, Ariana [Madix], Katie [Maloney], everybody do this for years and years, I maybe went in season 1 a little cocky.”

“You have to share, you have to give your opinion, you have to do the stuff, I think, as much as you can watch everybody else do it,” Janet told Nick Viall.

She added, “There’s nothing that can really prepare you for having it be your life, your group of friends, real stuff happening that you have to address in the moment.”

“I definitely did not go in hoping I would be the villain. That was something that surprised me,” Janet declared.
