“Crazy Kristen” is officially retired… or at least, the iconic green dress is.
Who can forget when Kristen Doute arrived at Tom Sandoval’s apartment in Season 3 of “Vanderpump Rules” to retrieve her cable box, dressed to the nines in a short green dress and a full face of makeup? This moment was just the start of her efforts that earned her the nickname that has lived on in the Bravo universe all these years.
So, during her April 22 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Doute gifted host Andy Cohen a gift from this very iconic moment.
It was none other than the green dress.
“I’m a different kind of crazy now,” Doute said as she handed the dress to Cohen. “So we are going to retire the green dress.”
“Woah, this is major,” Cohen exclaimed. “Oh, this is going to BravoCon. This is traveling with us. This is ours to keep? This is history. Thank you so much.”
Kristen Doute’s Fiancé Made Sure She Had An Important Item For WWHL Appearance
As Doute made the trip to New York City for her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” she revealed that she forgot one very important thing back at home.
Doute left her engagement ring at home in her “last flight before baby,” describing it as “pregnancy brain.”
However, her fiancé, Luke Broderick, documented his attempts to get her the ring on his own Instagram story. Specifically, he drove to celebrity jeweler Kyle Chan, who helped make it all happen.
“He’s going to be the hero today, because Kristen forgot her engagement ring and she just flew out to New York for Watch What Happens Live. So yeah, that’s I guess what happens with pregnancy brain. Huh Kristen?” Broderick said in a clip.
Doute also posted screenshots of text messages from Broderick.
“Kyle is cleaning and polishing your rings. Sending it FedEx, and their deadline is 3 he said. They do it regularly,” one of the messages read.
So, in the end, Doute got her ring, and it was all thanks to Broderick and Chan.
Kristen Doute’s Attempts to Sabotage Tom Sandoval & Ariana Madix

In an April 3, 2024 episode of her podcast “Balancing Act,” Doute told a story about something she almost did to Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix during the height of her attempts to end their relationship.
She explained how, after snooping around, Doute learned that Sandoval had a trip with Madix booked right after they became a couple, and she figured out a way to cancel it without telling them. She almost went through with it.
“I actually don’t even know if I’ve ever told Ariana this or Tom to be honest,” Doute told her listeners.
“So when Tom broke up with me and he started dating Ariana … I used to obviously hack into Tom’s e-mail,” she explained, adding that by “hacking” she meant she had his password.
“I got into his e-mail, and I saw that he had booked a trip to Napa on New Year’s Day of that year,” Doute added. “So, I called my mom and I was like mom he’s [expletive] taking Ariana to Napa. We just broke up a month ago and I’m still in this apartment.”
“So we sort of conspired, my mom offered that maybe I could just call the company and cancel their hot air balloon reservation, their hotel reservation, their wine tasting reservation,” she continued.
However, in the end, she didn’t do it
“I didn’t do it,” she said. “That’s [expletive] growth. But I almost canceled the [expletive] Napa trip and then they were going to drive all the way to Napa and they were going to be like, ‘We’re here for our trip’ and they would be like ‘We don’t have a reservation for you.’ But I didn’t do it.”
Everyone knows about Doute flying in “Miami Girl” to try and break the couple up, but she had so much more power behind the scenes.
