“The Valley” star Kristen Doute is asking fans for prayers in a touching Instagram Stories post.
Doute shared an image of her German Shepard dog, Jill, on Monday, Dec. 1, with the simple caption, “pray for Jill.”
Though she didn’t state what was wrong with her adorable pooch, she added another video of Jill with her fiancé, Luke Broderick. The video showed Broderick petting Jill, along with the couple’s other animals.
Broderick reposted the image of Jill and added his own message on the post. “She’s a tough [expletive], but it’s in God’s hands now.”
Doute Previously Stated Jill Was Incredibly Protective of Her When She Was Pregnant
Prior to welcoming her daughter Kaia, Doute told The Daily Dish how Jill doesn’t leave her side.
“Since the second I was pregnant, she’s had her head on my stomach,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum said about Jill.
The 42-year-old added, “It’s crazy because I was hoping to get one of those Instagram videos where the dog has the head on the stomach and then the baby kicks and you see the dog’s reaction. And she doesn’t react. So, I think she just knows.”
She added how Jill has always been protective of the reality TV star.
“She’s very, very protective of me, though. She doesn’t like strangers coming near me or talking to me… She knows, for sure,” she concluded.
She added at the time how her Yorkie named Gibson couldn’t care less about her pregancy.
“I try to show him there’s a baby right here and point to my stomach, and he thinks I’m talking about his toy that we call baby,” she said. “So, he just has no idea.”
Doute Is an Animal Lover
The Bravo star has long been a longtime vegetarian and will often share sweet moments with her animals on social media.
On Instagram, Doute has a saved Highlights section that is devoted to her animals and all of their cute moments together.
She experienced heartache in May of 2024 when her Beagle/chihuahua mix Bowie passed away.
“Our last photo together,” she wrote on the picture of Bowie on the couch. “Rest in peace, paradise, and everything your puppy dreams are made of. I love you so much, sweet boy. You know what’s true? You saved me[,] so I was lucky to also save you.”
At the time, she said on her podcast that she shares with Broderick, how her friends were very supportive after hearing the news about Bowie.
