Paige DeSorbo recently opened up about a key piece of advice she received from Bravo host Andy Cohen!
The “Summer House” alum spoke with The Zoe Report, as she was featured on the cover for the October issue.
She explained how Cohen urged her to think beyond immediate gains and build for long-term sustainability.
“I’ve always heard Andy be very like, ‘You should have things outside of Bravo,’” she recalled Cohen saying. “In earlier seasons, he’d be like, ‘You’re saving your money, right? And you’re making good financial decisions and you’re building things outside of it?’”
She compared it to having a parent checking on your grades.
“It would be like seeing your dad and him being like, ‘And let me see your report card,’” she added. “So when he was proud of me for Radio City, I was like, ‘I peaked — and now I have to leave.’”
DeSorbo Has a Lot Going On Post Bravo
Since then, DeSorbo has expanded her footprint well beyond reality TV.
She co-hosts the popular “Giggly Squad” podcast with “Summer House” alum and comedian Hannah Berner.
The two went on a successful podcast tour and ended up performing at Radio City Music Hall.
DeSorbo told Elle on Thursday, Oct. 9, that she views it as her proudest moment.
“So far, I think when Hannah and I performed at Radio City [Music Hall] back-to-back nights is by far one of the most surreal [highlights],” she stated. “Just to be in the same sentence as so many people that have performed there, it was an honor. It was an amazing way to end [our tour].”
She also co-authored the New York Times bestselling “How to Giggle.”
All About Daphne
On top of everything DeSorbo has going on, she launched a loungewear brand in June after her cat Daphne.
The loungewear’s website describes the clothing as “chic yet comfortable, cute yet updated, and, above all, pieces anyone could roll out of bed in and still wear to coffee.”
She opened up in a June interview with In Style about how she was worried she wasn’t going to make the most of her time on the popular reality TV show.
“I would get really down on myself,” she bravely stated. “’What if the show’s not on next year? What if I’m not asked back and I haven’t put anything out?’”
When the first release of Daphne dropped, it sold out immediately. When speaking with Elle, she added how she has a vision for what’s next with the brand.
“Well, I have so many ideas for Daphne. I think it can go in so many different directions, and there’s just so much opportunity there,” she proudly said.
