Two familiar faces from “Summer House” are making it clear where their loyalty lies.
Alums Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner addressed the ongoing drama involving Ciara Miller, Amanda Batula and West Wilson during their, Friday, April 3 episode of their “Giggly Squad” podcast—and didn’t hold back.
The Two Support Ciara and Call Her a ‘Real Friend’
“Obviously, we’re alive. We see the internet, we know what’s going on,” DeSorbo said. “Ciara is our real friend, in real life. So we have been talking to her, consoling her. We are behind her 100 percent. We would never capitalize or monetize off of our friend’s heartbreak.”
Berner echoed that sentiment with a heartfelt message, adding, “We love you Ciara, as the one and only guest that’s ever been on ‘Giggly Squad.’”
While the duo acknowledged the public interest in the situation, DeSorbo made it clear they wouldn’t be speaking on Miller’s behalf.
“This is the final thing I’m gonna say about it, because Ciara is a strong, intelligent, capable woman. She will speak her truth when it is her time. I would never speak for her,” she explained.
The Two Normally Do Not Talk About Bravo on Their Podcast
The conversation also touched on their own experiences with reality television, offering insight into why both women stepped away from the Bravo spotlight.
“And also, this is reality TV, like, there is very concrete reasons on why Hannah and I are no longer a part of reality TV. It’s one of the scariest things you can ever do in your entire life, and it’s partly why we created ‘Giggly Squad,’” DeSorbo said.
Berner agreed, adding, “I think ‘Giggly Squad’ was created after us seeing how they wanted to pick fights and how they wanted to pick people. And we felt like so much was on the cutting room floor, and they weren’t showing the things that they should show.”
Despite rumors of tension when Berner first joined the show, she shared that her bond with Miller was immediate. “And the second I met her, I looked in the eye, and we were like, ‘I love you.’ You love cats. I [explicitive] with you,” she said.
DeSorbo wrapped up the conversation by emphasizing the importance of real friendships off-camera.
“We really do know the importance of female friendships,” she added. “When I was going through a breakup, I think I called Hannah one day, and I was just like, ‘Thanks for letting me talk about this same situation for the past seven months and going over it again with me.’ We are real friends.”
Batula and Wilson Confirmed Their Romance Earlier in the Week
The drama surrounding Batula and Wilson began when reports surfaced that the two were dating—despite Wilson previously being involved with Miller.
The pair later confirmed their relationship, stating, “We wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
As tensions continue to play out publicly, one thing is clear: DeSorbo and Berner are standing firmly in Ciara’s corner.
