Bravo star Paige DeSorbo is taking her star power to new heights (literally) by starring in her very first Super Bowl commercial. On Feb. 2, the “Giggly Squad” podcast host stopped by “Today” to reveal her new ad for the Ferraro-owned Kinder Bueno.
DeSorbo plays a high-stakes employee in a mission control center as she watches a spacecraft barrel through space. The spot isn’t just a first for the former “Summer House” star; it’s also Kinder Bueno’s Big Game debut, a moment where millions tune in for both the football and the highly anticipated commercials.
Paige DeSorbo Stars in New Kinder Bueno Super Bowl Ad
Paige DeSorbo has snagged a role in Kinder Bueno’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial. During an appearance on “Today,” the former reality star revealed the 45-second ad, which shows a spacecraft barreling through space, with a Kinder Bueno floating inside the cockpit.
In the ad, DeSorbo sits in the mission control center, reacting to the chaos in space, “No Bueno,” she says. Her co-worker, played by actor William Fichtner, quickly counters, “Yes, Bueno is irresistible. Get more in here!”
Aliens make an appearance, too, with one munching on a chocolate treat and declaring, “Yes, Bueno is the reason we haven’t destroyed Earth.” As the spacecraft continues its cosmic journey, the two astronauts transform into newborns. One protests, “No Bueno,” while the other shares, “Were you born yesterday? Of course, there’s Bueno here.”
Speaking with “Today” hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, DeSorbo shares her love for the chocolate brand. “My mom keeps them next to everyone’s beds. If you come and visit, they’re on your nightside (table).”
DeSorbo Playfully Shares Having Her Ex-Boyfriends Watch Her During the Super Bowl Is ‘a Dream Come True’
GettyDeSorbo told People that she’s excited to appear on TV during Super Bowl 60, joking that it’s “a dream come true” for her to learn that all her ex-boyfriends will watch her in such a powerful moment in her career.
“If someone said to me a couple years ago, ‘All your ex boyfriends will be sitting down and watching one TV show and then you’ll pop up,’ I’d say that’s a dream come true. So I’m really excited to harness all of that energy,” she said.
DeSorbo also detailed what it was like working alongside Fichtner, who is known for his roles in “Armageddon,” “The Dark Knight,” and “The Perfect Storm” among others.
“He’s a real actor. I felt like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you. I’m not as professional of an actress as you are,’ but he was so nice and it was such an honor to meet him.”
She continued, “Obviously we filmed a commercial, but the whole day I was just like, ‘And how do they film movies?’ This is crazy. It’s so much work that goes into it and so many people and their expertise. So it was just very fascinating to see all of the moving parts all day.”
Kinder Bueno’s first-ever Super Bowl ad starring DeSorbo is set to air live during Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb. 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.
