Fans of “Summer House” may remember the moment that ultimately inspired the name of Berner and DeSorbo’s podcast, “Giggly Squad.”

The phrase originated during a dinner scene in season 4 of the Bravo series. During the group dinner, Kyle Cooke became frustrated when Berner and DeSorbo continued laughing together while he was discussing his upcoming wedding to Amanda Batula.

“We’re laughing with each other at dinner, don’t get crazy about it,” DeSorbo said at the time.

Cooke responded with a comment that unintentionally created the duo’s future brand.

“She’s actually talking to you and you’re hanging out with the Giggly Squad,” Cooke said.

“You’re literally yelling at us for laughing,” DeSorbo replied.

The moment later inspired the name of their podcast, which launched in 2020.

Since then, the phrase has become closely associated with the duo and their growing comedy brand.
