Patrick Muldoon, best known for his roles in “Days of Our Lives,” “Melrose Place,” and “Starship Troopers,” has tragically passed away on April 19.
According to Deadline, the actor’s sudden death came following a heart attack. He was 57.
Muldoon has largely kept his private life out of the spotlight, including his romantic relationships. And while the ’90s heartthrob was unmarried at the time of his passing, he’s been linked to several well-known figures in the entertainment industry.
Patrick Muldoon & Lisa Rinna’s Romantic Past
GettyIn 2021, Patrick Muldoon’s “Days of Our Lives” co-star Lisa Rinna revealed she had a “fling” with the actor.
During an episode of “PEOPLE in the 90s,” Rinna was asked about her most “surreal” moment, to which she replied, “Having an affair with the guy who played my brother.”
She continued, “Well, not an affair, but a couple of one-night stands with the guy who [played] my brother. Patrick Muldoon and I had like, a thing.”
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star clarified that the “fling” between her and Muldoon happened before she met her husband, Harry Hamlin.
On “Days of Our Lives,” Rinna played Billie Reed (1992 to 1995) while Muldoon portrayed her onscreen brother, Austin Reed.

Muldoon’s passing came just two days after he announced he would star in the new movie, “Kockroach,” alongside Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin.
Muldoon is survived by his partner, Miriam Rothbart; his parents, Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Shana and Ahmet Zappa; and his niece and nephew, Halo and Arrow Zappa.
