Rachel Zoe is a celebrity fashion stylist and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member known for building a powerful brand in Hollywood styling and reality television. Brad Goreski is a stylist and television personality who began his career as Zoe’s assistant before launching his own fashion career and TV projects. Their working relationship became widely known through Bravo’s “The Rachel Zoe Project,” and their eventual split created one of fashion television’s most talked-about professional fallouts. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Rachel Zoe & Brad Goreski First Became Famous on ‘The Rachel Zoe Project’
Zoe and Goreski first gained widespread attention through Bravo’s reality series “The Rachel Zoe Project,” which premiered in 2008.
The show followed Zoe’s fast-paced life as a celebrity stylist working with A-list clients and managing a busy fashion business. Goreski appeared on the show as one of her assistants during the first three seasons.
Viewers quickly became familiar with his personality and behind-the-scenes role as he helped Zoe style major clients and navigate high-pressure fashion events.
In 2010, Goreski decided to leave Zoe’s team and pursue his own career as a celebrity stylist. The departure became a major storyline when the series returned for season 4.
What initially appeared to be a friendly transition later evolved into tension between the two stylists.
2. Brad Goreski Built His Own Fashion Career After Leaving Rachel Zoe
After leaving Zoe’s company, Goreski quickly expanded his own career in the fashion world.
He launched a successful styling business and even received his own reality series, “It’s a Brad Brad World,” which premiered in 2011.
Over the years, Goreski has styled a number of high-profile celebrities, including Demi Moore, Rashida Jones, Natasha Lyonne, Ashley Park, Natalia Dyer, and Kaley Cuoco, according to Page Six.
He also became a familiar face on television, appearing as a fashion commentator during awards season on E!. From 2015 to 2017, he served as a host on “Fashion Police.”
More recently, Goreski worked as a judge on “Canada’s Drag Race” from 2021 through early 2025.
3. Rachel Zoe & Brad Goreski’s Split Led to Public Tension
Shortly after Goreski launched his independent career, reports suggested the relationship between the former colleagues had become strained.
A 2011 source told Page Six that Zoe was upset after several celebrity clients reportedly began working with Goreski instead.
“Rachel is furious. Brad assisted her in styling Demi. Now she feels betrayed,” the source said at the time.
During an episode of “The Rachel Zoe Project,” Zoe also addressed the situation on camera.
“[Within a week of leaving, he] started [to] pursue our clients, started going to all these events, and doing all the things he said he had no interest in,” she said.
Goreski later denied those claims during an interview with The Daily Beast.
“I think it’s unfortunate that she decided to take the angle that she did because it’s not the truth,” he said. “That’s not the truth. And she knows that’s not the truth.”
4. Brad Goreski Has Said He Is Open to Reconciliation
Although the two stylists have remained distant over the years, Goreski has publicly said he would be open to reconnecting.
During a 2013 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” he shared that the door remained open.
“My phone is available to her. If she ever wants to speak again, I’m here,” he said. “But at the moment, that’s not her choice.”
Goreski continues to follow the Bravo world closely and has appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” alongside cast members from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
His appearance on the show alongside Dorit Kemsley drew attention because Zoe joined the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast for season 15.
5. Rachel Zoe Recently Addressed Trust Issues With Former Assistants
Zoe has continued to reflect on her career and past professional experiences in recent interviews.
During a conversation with Interview magazine, Zoe described some of her experiences with assistants as “triggering.”
“Triggering. I’ve had the best in the world who are like family, but it also goes the other way,” she said. “It’s the hardest job to fill always.”
Goreski responded publicly in the comments of an Instagram post sharing the quote.
“Triggering for the assistants as well – Taylor, Jill, Jordan, Tara, Me,” he wrote.
Another former assistant, Jordan Johnson Chung, agreed.
Meanwhile, Zoe has continued to focus on her business and television work. She joined RHOBH for season 15 and has also spoken openly about personal changes in her life.
In February, Zoe shared an update on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” confirming that her divorce from former husband Rodger Berman will be finalized soon.
“Ultimately, we want what’s best for the kids,” she said.
Fans can catch Zoe on new episodes of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Thursday nights on Bravo.
