Bravo Stars Who Have Competed at the Olympics

Reality television stars are usually not associated with being involved in the pinnacle of sport. But there are some instances where athletes have bridged that gap, appearing on television screens as both an elite competitor in sport and a personality on a reality show.

There’s no better example of that than some of the Bravo celebrities who have also competed at the Olympic Games. With the 2026 Winter Olympics currently taking place, now seems like a good time to check out the members of the Bravo family who have represented their country at the highest level.

Sanya Richards Ross

Sanya Richards Ross appeared on two seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” joining during the fourteenth season before leaving in the fifteenth. During her appearances she often made reference to the fact that she wanted to have more children and grow her family, something that she achieved in 2025 when she welcomed her third baby

Out of all of the Bravo alumni who have appeared at Olympic Games, Richard Ross may well be the most successful. She became an Olympic champion in the 400-meter sprint event at the 2012 Olympics in London. In total, she has four Olympic gold medals.

Mohamed Hadid

Any fans of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” will likely recognize Mohamed Hadid as the ex-husband of Yolanda Hadid. He also went on to appear in the series “Shahs of Sunset” and other reality television series. However, he is best known for his role in “The Real Housewives” franchise, where he has appeared in more than a dozen episodes between 2010 and 2018.

Hadid’s athletic career is not as impressive as some other Bravo stars but that doesn’t diminish his achievements. Representing Jordan, Hadid competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. The real estate developer took part in speed skiing at the event, but didn’t win any medals.

Dawn Burrell

In 2021, Dawn Burrell took part in Bravo’s popular reality competition series “Top Chef,” where skilled chefs compete in a series of cooking challenges. Competing in the 18th season, which was set in Portland, she was one of the two runners-up to eventual winner Gabe Erales. Burrell had previously worked for various restaurants around the world and studied at the Art Institute of Houston.

Before taking up a career as a chef, Burrell was an accomplished member of the United States’ track and field team. Alongside her sister, Leroy Burrell, she represented the country across multiple competitions. She was selected to take part in the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the long jump event, where she finished in tenth place overall.

Scottie Pippen

Although not a regular on the show, Scottie Pippen appeared on a handful of episodes of “The Real Housewives of Miami” during its first season. This was because he was married to Larsa Pippen, one of the prominent figures featured on the reality series.

Before his appearances in the series, Pippen was a highly successful NBA basketball player. He won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls and played in the sport for some 17 seasons. As one of the best players in the NBA, he was selected to represent Team USA at several Olympic Games. He won gold with his teammates at both the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

Carlos Boozer

Carlos Boozer took part in the inaugural season of Bravo’s latest dating show, “Kings Court.” He appeared alongside supermodel Tyson Beckford  and WWE legend Thaddeus “Titus O’Neil” Bullard as the trio dated multiple women to try and find a romantic connection.

Boozer is another NBA star who played for a number of teams throughout his career, including the Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers. A two-time NBA All-Star, the power forward was selected for Team USA at both the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, winning a bronze and gold medal in his two appearances.
