‘Southern Charm’ Star Unveils Incredible 4-Year Transformation: PHOTOS

“Southern Charm” star Rodrigo Reyes is celebrating just how far he has come after four years of prioritizing his health and changing his lifestyle.

The Bravo star shared a side-by-side comparison of himself on Instagram Friday, Aug. 7, giving followers a look at his physical transformation while opening up about the work that happened behind the scenes.

Reyes Gets Honest About His Journey

Alongside the photos, Reyes admitted that sharing the picture on the left would once have been difficult for him.

“Four years apart,” he began. “I never thought I’d post that first photo. At the time, I was embarrassed by it and embarrassed by how much I felt like I’d let myself go. I certainly never imagined there would come a day when I’d willingly put it on Instagram.”

However, looking back at his former self now, Reyes said his perspective has changed.

“But looking at it now, I don’t really feel embarrassed anymore. I see a version of myself who was about to make some changes,” he wrote.

Reyes explained that his transformation wasn’t the result of one dramatic turning point. Instead, he focused on making sustainable changes and remaining consistent over time.

“There wasn’t one big transformation moment. I just started locking in. Being more consistent. Finding a routine I could actually stick to. Staying active even when I didn’t particularly feel like it. Making better choices more often than not. And then doing it again the next day.”

Four years later, Reyes said he is proud of the physical results, but even more proud of the consistency that helped him reach them.

“And there are realities that come with losing a significant amount of weight—loose skin being one of them—but I’ve learned that doesn’t take anything away from how proud I am of what I’ve accomplished,” he continued.

Reyes said the changes have affected more than his appearance.

“I feel better. I’m stronger. I’m more active. And taking care of myself has become part of my life instead of something I’m constantly trying to start over.”

He also reflected on the surreal feeling of seeing his former and current selves side by side.

“It’s pretty wild to look at these two photos side by side and realize they’re both me,” Reyes wrote. “Turns out a lot can change when you give yourself time, keep showing up and get a little tan.”

Friends & Fans React

The post quickly drew praise from friends and followers, including several of Reyes’ fellow reality stars.

Craig Conover commented, “Strong 👊🏻 💪🏻”

Madison LeCroy wrote, “Jacked!!!!! 🔥”

Salley Carson also celebrated his progress, writing, “Yes Rod yes so much hard work paid off!!!!!”

Other followers praised Reyes for focusing on his overall well-being rather than simply his appearance.

“Personally, I think you look great in both photos, but your confidence is the most important! Proud of you,” one person wrote.

“Good for you for prioritizing your health. Its the best gift you can give yourself,” another added.

Reyes has previously shared glimpses of his progress.

In May, he posted additional photos while reflecting on the changes he had made over the previous two years, captioning the post, “A little less love to handle in the past two years but motivated.”

Now, his latest update gives followers an even closer look at the four-year journey—and the mindset that helped him keep going.
