Salley Carson Explains Her Reaction to Austen Kroll Being Single

Salley Carson has no regrets about how she reacted to her “Southern Charm” co-star Austen Kroll’s split from his girlfriend, Audrey Pratt. The Bravo TV personality appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” on Feb.11, where she was grilled on all things about her relationship with Kroll, her attraction to him, and meeting his family.

When host Andy Cohen asked Carson if she was attracted to Kroll upon first meeting him despite his relationship status with Pratt, whom he dated for nearly two years, she replied, “Absolutely.”

Carson made her attraction to Kroll known while filming “Southern Charm’ Season 11, even though he was with Pratt at the time. “I’m a girl’s girl,” she said in the episode “Making Waves.” “I love Audrey, but my personality fits with Austen very well. I mean, would I hook up with him? The day after they break up, let’s go!”

Salley Carson Explained  Why She Was Giddy When She Found Out Austen Kroll Was Single

During her WWHL appearance, Carson defended her reaction to Kroll’s newly single status during filming for ‘Southern Charm” last summer.

“I mean, they were broken up,” she told Cohen. “I did not make a move on him while he was with Audrey, and I would not have done that, and he wouldn’t have either. He’s very respectful of her.”

“But I mean, like I was saying things to my girlfriends like. ‘He’s hot, he has a great personality,'” she clarified. “But I would be flattered if someone was saying that about my boyfriend.”

Carson added that she didn’t regret cozying up to Kroll at a group party with Pratt watching in the background.

“Um, I was just having a good time talking to Austen, honestly,” she said.

Carson also said she did not feel that she came on too strongly by flirting with Kroll right after his breakup.

Cohen noted that when Kroll’s mom was in the WWHL audience, she was “very much approving” of Carson as a girlfriend for her son.

‘Yes, I had lunch with her afterwards,” she said. “And sister and Austen,” she added.

“That was fast!” Cohen noted.

Carson also revealed her reaction to Kroll’s mom urging him to have kids in a “Southern Charm” episode earlier in the season.

“I loved that conversation because I want kids!” she said.

During a Feb. 4 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Kroll admitted that his mom, Wendy, liked the idea of Salley as someone he could potentially date.

“At first, she was like, ‘I don’t know, Austen.’ But then she met her, and she’s like, ‘I really like Salley,’’ he shared.

Kroll said he was unsure if Carson was ready for marriage and kids at this point in her life. “Salley’s been going out… her habits are not conducive with her saying that she wants to settle down and have a family,”  he said.

The “Southern Charm” star also gave his own take on Carson’s “giddy” reaction to his breakup, noting, “Not to throw shade, but… it’s kind of like an on-brand thing, you know? She is boy crazy.”

  1. Why is Bravo pushing this girl so hard? She was on WWHL twice already this season, and she’s just not that interesting. She’s just a pick me, and she’s not a girls girl. At the party when Audrey was sitting alone, Sally totally disregarded Audrey as Austen’s girlfriend and openly flirted with Austen right in front of Audrey. Girls girls don’t do that
