Ashley Jacobs is sharing a new look at her life years after leaving “Southern Charm.” The former Bravo personality, whose time on the show was somewhat controversial, recently posted a series of family photos featuring her husband, Mike Appel, and their two young sons, offering followers an update on her growing family in Santa Barbara, California.
Jacobs, who appeared on the reality series for two seasons before exiting in 2019, has since married and welcomed two children. Her latest social media posts highlight family milestones and everyday moments with her husband and boys.
Ashley Jacobs Shares Valentine’s Day Tribute to Husband Mike Appel
On Valentine’s Day, Jacobs reflected on her family in a heartfelt Instagram post dedicated to Appel.
“On this Valentine’s Day, I’m thankful for the man who gave me the gifts I’ve always prayed for — our family💘 I love you more than words (and that’s saying a lot),” she wrote.
The post featured photos of Jacobs with Appel and their children.
The couple met in 2019 at a rooftop party in Santa Barbara and made their relationship Instagram official later that year. In March 2021, Appel proposed during a snowmobile ride in Park City, Utah. The couple later tied the knot in a private ceremony.
“After a year and half of dating, we can both agree that this adventure we’re on together is just getting started,” Jacobs told People at the time. “We’re a great team and we can’t wait for what’s ahead! Buckle up!”

In November 2024, Jacobs announced the birth of her second son with Appel. She shared the news on Instagram on November 10, posting photos of their older son, Grayson Maxwell Appel, 3, wearing a “big brother” shirt beside his newborn sibling in a matching “little brother” tee.
“One week with our boys💙🩵,” Jacobs wrote. “Our hearts have never been so full 🫶 Our family is complete!”
On her Instagram Stories, she added, “Welcome to the world baby!” and shared another photo of herself and Appel holding their newborn. “About to learn what it’s like to be parents of two,” she wrote.
Jacobs first revealed her pregnancy in September 2024.
“I’ve come a long way since my Southern Charm days!!!” Jacobs told People at the time.
“My husband, son and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting baby boy #2 in FIVE WEEKS!!! We cannot wait for his arrival and to watch our boys grow up together. Grateful is an understatement!”
She added that life was busy as the couple remodeled their new home, but said a babymoon in their hometown made sense.
“The choice was obvious to have our babymoon in our hometown of Santa Barbara!” Jacobs said. “I know people are asking, ‘Why choose to have a babymoon in the town you live in?!’ My answer is always, ‘Have you been to Santa Barbara?!’ Staying at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is as close to paradise as you can get.”
In April 2025, Jacobs posted additional family snapshots from Santa Barbara. In one image, her two sons wore Los Angeles Dodgers gear.
“Making daddy proud,” she wrote.
In another, she celebrated her baby turning five months old, writing, “Oh how we love you…our sweet 5-month-old.”
