Not every relationship works out, and Steven McBee Jr. says he is now single after ending things with Allie Eklund. The “McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” star said the breakup came after the Bravo star learned about alleged infidelity during the Stagecoach Festival.
Steven McBee Jr. Announces Breakup After Stagecoach Allegations
McBee said he decided to end the relationship after receiving several messages raising concerns about Eklund’s behavior while he was out of town. He explained that things escalated quickly after he left California early.
He explained that he began receiving direct messages the following day, including claims that Eklund had acted inappropriately and information about the man she was allegedly with, Drew Dodson. McBee said he heard similar accounts from more than one source, which led him to take the claims seriously.
McBee confirmed the breakup, stating simply that he is now single. He also acknowledged that he reacted publicly in the moment by sharing screenshots on social media.
“She’s a good person and I wish I wouldn’t have posted on social media,” McBee said. “I’m not good at holding my emotions in check at the moment. Especially waking up to that. But I was just so mind-blown waking up this morning. I was just with her yesterday, and we were talking about how big of a year we were gonna have and the house we wanted to build together. Crazy.”
‘The McBee Dynasty’ Star Acknowledges He’s ‘Not the Easiest To Be With’
While discussing the breakup, McBee said he is trying to take a measured view of the situation, including acknowledging his own personality.
“I’m extremely Type A and get stressed, have mood swings. So in her defense, I’m not the easiest guy to be with, and I don’t want this to completely destroy her – but I am just absolutely mind blown that this happened,” he explained. “The only reason I went to Stagecoach was because I was nervous about how attention-starved she is all the time.”
The relationship had been public since November, when McBee and Eklund shared that they were dating. At the time, McBee spoke positively about their connection and said he believed she could be “the one.” The relationship followed his previous split from Calah Jackson.
Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund Recently Shared Life Updates on Farm
In the weeks leading up to the breakup, McBee and Eklund shared several updates from the family’s farm in Gallatin, Missouri, offering a look at their day-to-day life together.
Eklund posted a video on Instagram on April 14 documenting the couple’s discovery of a cat in the barn. In the clip, she said, “Steven said that he heard a cat. If we actually find one in the barn, then we now have a cat. Come with us.” The pair found a friendly cat, later named Tommy.
McBee later explained the name on his Instagram Story, referencing “Peaky Blinders.” “Have never been a cat person,” he wrote. “In saying that — Tommy (After Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders) is a bad mf’er and will now be watching over the barn.”
The couple also shared other milestones, including Eklund exploring an abandoned house on the property and McBee gifting her a horse named AJ for her birthday. “Might not be a Birkin, but I think this is a close second for a gift,” McBee wrote at the time. “We’ve got some riding to do!”
The relationship also played out during filming for the upcoming season of “McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys.” Eklund filmed scenes for season 3, which is expected to air on Bravo later this year.
