‘Summer House’ Drama Won’t Get Scandoval Treatment From Bravo

Bravo is moving forward with its original filming plan for “Summer House” despite recent headlines surrounding Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship. According to TMZ, production is not making changes to capture the off-camera developments involving Batula, Wilson, and Ciara Miller.

‘Summer House’ Production Plan Remains Unchanged Amid Drama

Sources told TMZ that Bravo has no plans to resume filming to document the fallout from Batula and Miller’s friendship being impacted by Batula’s relationship with Wilson.

The report states production is not taking a “Scandoval” approach, referencing how cameras resumed filming for “Vanderpump Rules” after a major cheating scandal. Instead, “Summer House” will continue as scheduled, with the reunion expected to tape in three weeks and no plans to move that timeline.

This means any tension between Batula, Wilson, and Miller will likely play out publicly for the first time during the reunion rather than during additional filming.

Amanda Batula & West Wilson Confirm Relationship With Statement

Batula and Wilson confirmed their relationship on March 31 in a joint statement on their Instagram Stories.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we need a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” they continued. “Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”

“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

‘Summer House’ Rumors Grew From Social Media and Cast Comments

The situation gained attention in recent weeks as fans speculated about Batula and Wilson’s relationship. The rumors followed Batula’s friendship with Miller and Miller’s past relationship with Wilson, which played out on a previous season of “Summer House.”

Speculation increased after “Southern Charm” cast member Austen Kroll shared a post on March 29 that read, “Pasta and (expletive) your friends exes are apparently so back,” which fans connected to Batula and Wilson.

Earlier in the month, Deuxmoi reported that the pair appeared “openly flirty” at a New York City event.

Wilson also addressed the rumors during a March 24 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.”

“We were just hanging out in New York. She’s single, I gotta show her the streets a little bit,” Wilson said. “But if it’s not clear, that’s a very important person to me, and I care about her a lot.”

When asked directly, Wilson added, “That’s a friend. I hope it’s clear.”

New episodes of “Summer House” air Tuesday nights on Bravo.
