“Summer House” alum Luke Gulbranson announced that he has decided to run for Congress in Minnesota’s 8th District.
The former reality television star revealed the news on Wednesday, April 15, sharing a video to his Instagram page where he details why he is running. Among the reasons are to lower costs, protect important programs, and expand access to affordable healthcare.
“I know what it’s like to worry about putting food on the table or paying the electric bill,” he said in the video. “I’ve lived the challenges so many families in this district are facing right now. I’m running for Congress to make sure no one is forgotten and to fight for an economy and healthcare system that actually works for us.”

Along with the message in the video, Gulbranson’s caption also detailed why he is running, adding that it’s “time for Congress to work for the people again.”

Luke Gulbranson Has Remained Good Friends With ‘Summer House’ Star Lindsay Hubbard
GettyGulbranson has remained close with many of his former co-stars on “Summer House,” which includes Lindsay Hubbard. And earlier this year, Hubbard called on Gulbranson when she had an emergency in her apartment.
On February 2, she posted numerous photos on her Instagram story detailing how she discovered a flood in her apartment.
So what does one do? Call Luke (Gulbranson),” she wrote. “While I was waiting for Luke to get here, the firefighters came. I made my neighbor come home from being out, my super is on his way, two plumbing companies on the way, and I’m turning every valve in my apartment to ‘righty tighty.’”
When Luke arrived, he immediately got to work, with Hubbard sharing another photo of him mopping.
