‘Summer House’ Spinoff Stars Reveal What’s Coming Next on ‘In the City’

“Summer House” spinoff buzz is growing as Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, and Lindsay Hubbard speak out for the first time about their new Bravo series, “In the City.” The upcoming show shifts the cast from weekends in the Hamptons to life in New York City, reflecting a new phase centered on careers, relationships, marriage, and parenting.

Summer House’ Spinoff Cast Tease New Chapter in ‘In the City’

Hubbard said the spinoff reflects where their lives are today.

“I think our show is like a good transitional show,” Hubbard told The Daily Dish at BravoCon. “We’re not really, like, at a place where we can party in the Hamptons, in a shared house all summer, every weekend, right? Like, I have a baby now, and that’s just not where my head is at. But, I think in the city is so great. Because you see our day-to-day lives. Like, some of us are new parents. Some of us have kids. Some of us are married. Some of us are trying to have kids. So it really is like the show of just learning how to take that next chapter of life in stride.”

Cooke shared that filming felt more authentic to their real routine.

“It’s been a lot… It was a fun show because we’ve always wanted to show a little more of our life in the city. It’s the best city in the world,” Cooke said during “BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen.”

Batula added that “In the City” reflects maturity rather than nightlife.

“And I think it’s really about that next chapter in life and that next phase,” Batula said. “It’s more about relationships, marriage, families, children, not so much single and partying in the Hamptons. You will see new and familiar faces.”

Hubbard, Batula, and Cooke Share Life Updates Amid Filming for ‘In the City’

Hubbard is settling into life as a single mom to her 11-month-old daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe, and preparing for her first birthday. During the Parents’ Night Out panel, she shared she is planning a dog-themed celebration and recently posted a sweet photo holding Gemma, writing, “Nowhere I would rather be.”

Batula and Cooke opened up about their relationship journey during “The Summer House Always Wins” panel. Batula reflected on how much she has changed since joining “Summer House.”

“When I started, I was 24. I was actually labeled as Kyle’s ex-girlfriend, but was never actually his girlfriend, so that was fun,” Batula said. “So I’ve done so much growing up. And now that I’m 34, because it has been 10 years, I feel like I’m a whole different person.”

She continued, “I was Kyle’s ex-girlfriend, then Kyle’s girlfriend, then Kyle’s fiancée, then Kyle’s wife, and now I’m sitting next to Mr. Batula, also known as Amanda Batula’s husband.”

Cooke joked, “It’s 2025, I’m taking her name.”

Bravo first teased “In the City” on November 13, writing, “See you in the city. Kyle, Amanda, and Lindsay arrive on a new series soon.” A premiere date has not yet been announced.
