After 10 seasons on Bravo, “Summer House” has already expanded its universe with spinoffs like “Winter House” and “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.” Now, fresh rumors suggest the show may be looking for a new location, with talk that the franchise could be heading to the Ozarks.
In an April 9 report by Deuxmoi, sources claimed that filming was already underway in the Ozarks and that West Wilson could be involved. But amid the ongoing scandal between him and Amanda Batula, which has sparked backlash and tension among castmates, fans may be divided on whether he’s the right fit to lead a new spinoff.
‘Summer House’ Producer Gives More Insight Into New Spinoff
GettyDuring a Deadline Reality TV Summit, “Summer House” executive producer Steven Weinstock was asked about a potential spinoff taking place in the Ozarks. Unfortunately for fans of the Bravo series, Weinstock kept his answer vague, but did admit that “an extension of the show” was possible.
“We’re always looking for an extension of the show. It’s not simple. The bar is very high. There’s a lot of different elements of what makes ‘Summer House’ work — from a narrative point of view have got to be true in any location,” he said.
When asked if West Wilson would be part of the rumored spinoff, Weinstock shared briefly, “I can’t say.”
If a spinoff set in the Ozarks does move forward, it would make sense for Wilson to be involved, given his Missouri roots and ties to the region.
West Wilson Teased a ‘Summer House’ Spinoff
GettyWilson appeared to spill the beans about an Ozarks spinoff when he interviewed actor and Bravo fan Jon Hamm for Complex last year.
Hamm, who was raised in Missouri, was asked by Wilson, “Were you an Ozarks guy growing up at all?” After Hamm shared, “Yeah. For sure,” Wilson replied, “So, we’re working on, not actually, but I would love it a ‘Summer House’ in the Ozarks.”
He later asked Hamm if he saw that potential spinoff “being possibly a successful show,” to which the actor shared, “Absolutely.”
Cameras Picked Back up For ‘In the City’ After Wilson & Amanda Batula Confirmed Their Romance
Although Weinstock did not provide any additional information or confirm a new show, fans do know that cameras went back up for the “Summer House” spinoff, “In the City,” which is set to premiere on May 19.
“In the City” began filming after “Summer House” season 10 wrapped in the summer of 2025 and continued through February 2026. However, according to Bravo executive Frances Berwick, the cast members were back in action to film after Wilson and Batula confirmed their romance in March.
“You’ll see in the first episode, we have a new scene that we shot with a couple of the cast members. So, we did pick up [cameras] there, but we just didn’t feel like that was the right thing to do on ‘Summer House,'” he told The Ankler.
He continued, “It does come back to the emotional well-being of the cast members, and we didn’t think that was right. We did take a beat before we covered that. And that was obviously in the reunion last week; as everyone now knows, we taped the reunion last week.”
