Former “Southern Charm” star Taylor Ann Green was a guest on Nick Viall’s “The Viall Files” on Tuesday, June 2, where she spilled on her recent breakup with her boyfriend of nearly three years, Gaston Rojas. In her conversation, the Bravo star revealed that she had found out Rojas had cheated on her, but later shared she left the relationship for “fundamental reasons.”
Now single, Green was asked about her current status with her ex-boyfriend and “Southern Charm” star Shep Rose, even setting the record straight about whether there is any chance of a possible romantic reconciliation.
Taylor Ann Green Addresses Shep Rose Romance Rumors After Gaston Rojas Breakup
On the June 2 episode of “The Viall Files,” Taylor Ann Green opened up about her recent breakup with Gaston Rojas, which led host Nick Viall to ask if that meant Green had spoken to or reached out to her other ex-boyfriend, Shep Rose.
“I have,” she admitted. “And I have seen the rumors we’re getting back together, hooking up again or whatever. And that is not true.”
She continued, “Even if I wanted to hook up with Shep again or get back together, I would hope I have a little bit more respect for myself to go from one cheating ex to the other.”
“Shep is a very logical human being and he’s not the type of person to be like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it. Let’s get back together,’” Taylor said, adding, “He would inevitably say, ‘No, I don’t think that that’s the right thing to do.’ He cares about me as a human being and has always cared about me very deeply and even in my time of, you know, kind of throwing him under the bus and giving him a lot of [expletive].”
Green said that Rose was shocked to hear from her, sharing, “He was like, ‘I cannot believe that you are sitting right here in front of me. I cannot believe that you reached out, I care about you, I think about you all the time.'”
Rose also told Green that he felt as if Rojas was “holding [her] hostage” to some extent because he had wanted to reach out on friendly terms, and Green later agreed that she believed her ex had done so. “I felt very isolated from my friends and definitely people in the cast,” she said.
Green added that though she no longer sees Rose in a “romantic way,” she is thankful for the way he has always cared about her and her family and defended her during hard times.
Green and Rose dated from 2000 to 2022, with the couple’s split, due to Rose’s infidelity, highly publicized on “Southern Charm.”
Green Opens up About Returning to ‘Southern Charm’
In April 2025, Green announced that she was leaving “Southern Charm” after season 10. Taking to Instagram, she shared a heartfelt goodbye to the series, which she had appeared on since season 7.
“Hi everyone! A bittersweet announcement, but after a lot of conversations and thought this past year, it is with a heavy but peaceful heart to announce that I will be stepping away from ‘Southern Charm’ next year. These past 5 years with NBC and Bravo have been some of the most crazy but exciting times of my life,” she shared.
Green further explained that she was saying goodbye to the show to focus on her clothing brand Reset Athletic. “A wild rollercoaster but an incredible one to say the least. I am so excited to use this time to focus on my new company, @resetathletic and all the exciting things that my business partner and I have been working on to continue to bring our dream into reality🙌🏼,” she added.
During her conversation on “The Viall Files,” Green admitted that she “would love to have my job back” on the show following her split from Rojas.
“I don’t know if that’s a 100% possibility, but I needed time away from the show, no doubt for my mental [health],” she said, adding, “[I am] 1,000 percent happy with the decision that I did walk away, but ultimately, I was held at an ultimatum with my ex saying, ‘Either you go back to the show or you date me.”
When asked if Rose would approve of her return, Green stated, “I think Shep would love to see that.”
According to TV Insider, “Southern Charm” is currently filming for season 12, although the official cast has yet to be revealed.
