Kristen Kish is the “Top Chef” season 10 winner and current host of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” and she shares her life with wife Bianca Dusic, a wellness coach and entrepreneur who has supported the chef through major career milestones. The couple married in 2021 and frequently speak about the importance of home, balance, and personal growth. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Kristen Kish’s Wife Bianca Dusic Grew Up in Australia
Bianca Dusic was born and raised in Australia as the child of immigrant parents. In her twenties, she made a major life decision to leave her home country in search of new experiences and opportunities.
She later reflected on the decision in an Instagram post, explaining that she felt driven to explore the world. “With little money and some thoughtful (and not so thoughtful) planning, my friend and I left Melbourne in 2006 and I never moved back home!” she wrote.
She emphasized that the move came from a desire to learn more about herself. “I didn’t run away or leave because of someone, I just had a strong pull to go, to find out what I really wanted to do.”
That decision eventually led her to a new career path and, years later, to meeting Kish.
2. Bianca Dusic Built a Career in Wellness and Coaching
Dusic now works as a mindset and transformation coach and runs her own wellness brand.
According to her professional bio, she is a certified hypnotherapist and practices breathwork and emotional freedom techniques. She also works as a holistic health coach and offers both group sessions and one-on-one coaching.
On her website, Dusic explained why she decided to pursue this line of work after leaving a more traditional career path.
“I left behind a job that, to the outside world, seemed ‘safe and secure,’” she wrote. “It was the same sense of curiosity that inspired the travels of my younger years, but now I chose a path that could help people, the way others had done for me.”
3. Kristen Kish Proposed to Her Wife in 2019
Kish proposed to Dusic in September 2019. The chef shared the news at the time on social media with a photo of the couple celebrating their engagement.
“She said YES to a lifetime of Sunday morning coffee dates and bed head,” Kish wrote alongside the announcement.
The couple married on April 18, 2021, in a small ceremony held in their backyard. Many guests attended virtually because travel restrictions prevented Dusic’s family from flying from Australia.
Kish later told Today Food that the couple focused on what mattered most.
“We decided if getting married was what was most important then that is what we’ll do, just a bit differently,” Kish said. “Ultimately, we had our family (and were) doing what was the most important to us in our home.”
4. Kristen Kish and Bianca Dusic Value Their Quiet Time Together
Because Kish’s career involves extensive travel and television commitments, both she and Dusic value their quiet time at home.
Speaking to The Daily Dish, Kish explained how important that balance is for their relationship.
“There’s nothing that she and I can’t have fun doing,” Kish said. “What I value most is being able to retreat at home with the one person that I want to be with.”
Kish also described herself as a “homebody” and said spending time with Dusic helps her recharge after busy filming schedules.
“We travel so much and, especially recently, being home feels like a vacation,” Kish told People. “Being home is the time when you can actually decompress and just wear sweatpants all day if you want.”
The Private Bianca Dusic Publicly Supports Wife’s Public Career
Although Dusic generally keeps her personal life private, she has occasionally shared supportive messages about Kish’s career.
In 2023, when Kish was announced as the new host of “Top Chef,” Dusic celebrated the milestone with a heartfelt social media tribute.
“I’m so proud of you for not letting fear guide your decision making,” Dusic wrote. “You’ve always committed to things 110% even when doing something outside of your comfort zone.”
She added, “My greatest joy is watching you grow and shine.”
Kish continues hosting the competition series, returning for season 23 of “Top Chef,” which premieres March 9 on Bravo.
