Both Lala Kent and Scheana Shay have moved on from “Vanderpump Rules” as the show is progressing with a new cast. However, they remained linked thanks to their years spent together on Bravo. Recently, Kent opened up about her current relationship status with her former co-star.
Kent recently hosted one of her Amazon Live sessions. While on the stream, a fan asked the former “Vanderpump Rules” star if she and Shay had a “falling out.” The “Give Them Lala” podcast host replied, “I just say Scheana Scheanas and I’m letting Scheana Scheana.”
She went on, “I have no… I don’t know.” Kent then said, “I’m just here minding my [business.] I don’t know.”
Kent Went on to Say Shay Is Her Friend Despite Recent Issues
As the stream continued, another fan asked Kent about her status with Shay. Notably, they wondered if Shay went to her daughter’s birthday party. Kent stated of her former “Vanderpump Rules” co-star, “I’m going to talk about how I feel about Scheana.”
She continued, “I don’t know where her head is at. Scheana is my friend. I love her. I love her family. She is like family to me. I am proud of her. I will say that over and over again because that’s what I mean and that is where my heart is.”
Kent then said, “I don’t know what she’s out saying. I’ve heard things she’s talked about on her podcast.” She went on to say that Shay was not at her daughter’s birthday party due to a prior engagement. However, they recently saw each other.”
She added, “For me, all is good.”
This Comes After the Memoir Drama
The reason some fans believe the former “Vanderpump Rules” stars had a falling out is over Shay’s book. Notably, Shay publicly stated that she was hurt that some of her friends and former co-stars, Kent included, didn’t say anything about her memoir, “My Good Side.”
She stated on her “Scheananigans” podcast, “I think it was like maybe a week after it came out, I saw she posted a slide [with the book]. There was nothing else that she posted.” Shay continued, “I had reached out to her a couple days after all of the [PR] boxes were delivered. Because yes, you do expect your closest friends to post and support.”
Shay went on, “I sent everyone a really nice PR box. I’m sure you guys saw some others who posted it. And I reached out [to Lala] and I was like, ‘Hey, did your box come? Because I hadn’t seen it posted yet.’ I just wanted to make sure I didn’t need to reach out to the publisher to be like, ‘Hey, Lala didn’t get her box.'”
She then said, “She said that her brother and her mom deal with the packages and that she would have them check. But then a week went by, and the box didn’t get posted. So I’m assuming she got it because she posted the book.”
