Former “Dancing With the Stars” pro and podcast host Cheryl Burke shared some big news. On the December 30 episode of her “Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans” podcast, Burke confirmed that she’s pausing her iHeartRadio show.
“I have a bittersweet, I guess, announcement,” Burke said on the episode titled “Goodbye For Now.”
“I just want to say to you guys that I, as I sit down, you know, I’m to share this message. My heart is honestly just filled with so much gratitude and it’s been such a emotional, I guess, few weeks or a few days since making the decision to pause this podcast. This has been an incredible journey,” she continued.
Burke said there’s a “slight chance” that the podcast will return for season 34, but cautioned that there’s a chance it won’t. She said that she’s looking forward to new opportunities in 2025 and will reevaluate where she is in life if and when the time comes for the podcast to possibly return.
Burke started “Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans” in 2023. The podcast has faced a great deal of scrutiny as some people feel it was her way to bash “Dancing With the Stars.” Burke maintains that she loves the show and that her “heart has always been in the right place.”

Burke may or may not have known that her podcast was coming to an end, based on the comments she made during a previous episode.
“We will reevaluate everything come January. So I’m going to save that question and really answer that more towards the end of December or mid-December. Once I know, you’ll know. How about that? There is a chance, like I’ve said earlier, I’m not going to do this forever. And I have a lot of different opportunities coming my way,” Burke said on the December 4 episode of “Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans.”
“If I can’t really commit to this podcast due to other opportunities that are coming my way, then I will have to pause it for now. It’s nothing’s forever. So keep you posted on that,” she added.

While some people are wondering why Burke’s podcast is ending, others couldn’t help but express sadness over the news.
“Cheryl announced that she’s stepping away from the podcast to focus on other projects. She was super thankful to the listeners but also sounded really sad about it ending. She mentioned there’s a possibility the podcast could come back when the next DWTS season starts—but it also might not.
