“Dancing With the Stars” season 35 is still several months away. In the meantime, the cast members are hard at work on other projects. Some of their extracurricular projects are less serious than others.
As the 2026 “DWTS” live tour continues, other cast members decided to put on an entertaining dance battle for the public.
See the video that has fans buzzing with excitement and who they believe the true winner really was.
“Dancing With the Stars” Pros Entertain the Public in a Hilarious Setting
Many amazing professionals in the world of ballroom dance never appear on “Dancing With the Stars.” Dancer and choreographer Blake McGrath might not be among those competing for the Mirrorball Trophy, but he’s delighted to work with the show’s pro dancers.
This time, the collaboration took place in the most ordinary of places: in the frozen food aisle.
“Three of my favorite “Dancing with the Stars” collabs… but who wins the Mirror Ball? 🪩 🏆” the choreographer captioned his Instagram post, inviting fans to vote for their favorite routine.
The video begins with McGrath bumping carts with “DWTS” judge Derek Hough. The men decide to express their frustrations with one another through dance. They even perform some tricks with a mother and daughter pair.
The next routine features McGrath bumping into show hostess Julianne Hough. But this time, the pair engage in an incredibly flirty dance in sync with one another before parting ways.
The final routine features married couple, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy. McGrath distracts Jenna in the aisle with his moves and she quickly joins in. Val slams a freezer door in rage before dancing over to reclaim his wife. After a quick trio performance, Blake McGrath and Val run off together, leaving Jenna behind.
Fans Think the Real Winner is Incredibly Obvious
Viewers each had their own favorite routine. However, one thing seemed clear. Commenters agreed the grocery store patrons were the true winners.
“Please come to my market because grocery shopping be boring me,” one Instagram user quipped. Many others readily agreed, noting they would love to see more content like this in the future.
Derek Hough and his wife Hayley are going on their Symphony of Dance tour this summer before “DWTS” season 35 premieres. Meanwhile, Jenna and Val will finish up the 2026 live tour with the rest of the cast.
Fans hope everyone can get proper rest and relaxation before the next competition season begins. ABC is expected to debut “Dancing With the Stars” season 35 this fall.
