“Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Rylee Arnold shared a heartfelt message to her season 34 partner Scott Hoying in a post on Instagram after their elimination on October 21.
Arnold and Hoying, from the a cappella group Pentatonix, danced to “The Wizard And I” by Cynthia Erivo featuring Michelle Yeoh for week six’s Wicked-themed night. The couple scored 28 out of 30 for the dance, bringing their two week total to a 58 out of 80.
Rylee Arnold Says Scott Hoying Was ‘So So Amazing in Every Way’
The pair was ultimately eliminated from the show at the end of the episode. After their elimination, Arnold shared a long message to Hoying in a post on Instagram and TikTok. The post included several pictures of the duo behind the scenes.
“I’M SO PROUD OF YOU SCOTT,” the dancer wrote. “I truly couldn’t have asked for a better partner this season.”
“Scott you were so so amazing in every way!! Your patience, work ethic, laughter, and kindness carried me through every single rehearsal and you helped me grow in so so many ways.”
Arnold told her dance partner he “improved so much week by week.”
“It was so surreal to be by your side experiencing it with you,” she added.
The 20-year-old dancer further applauded Hoying for his creativity and talent, saying, “Just everything about this season with you was perfect.”
“I will forever cherish the memories we made this season and I know we will make so many more together,” her post continued. “I couldn’t have done it without you, and gaining a new best friend in this process was just the best part of it all!”
“Scott is seriously one of the most genuine, kind and caring people I know and I’m so grateful that he is in my life now!!” her post concluded. “Thank you for this amazing season Scott it was everything and more!! Team RYOTT.”
Scott Hoying Speaks Out After Elimination
While the pair’s time on the show was cut short, Hoying said in a post-elimination interview with Extra that he found a silver lining in it.
Hoying will be joining his a cappella group on the road, which could have interfered with his time on the show.
“I was going to do both at the same time, which I had been stressing about and losing sleep over,” he said. “So, the silver lining is I can dive into that.”
Pentatonix is set to begin their Christmas in the City Tour on November 8 in West Valley City, Utah. The tour continues through December 22 in the U.S. It picks back up in April with international tour dates.
The tour includes dates in the U.S. leading up to the DWTS finale, which is scheduled for November 25.
