This year, fans enjoyed “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” while waiting for the fall season premiere. Viewers agreed it was an excellent chance to get a closer look at the pro dancers’ hard work. And at the end of the day, fans always love meeting new cast members.
Now that DWTS season 35 is on the horizon, fans are curious to learn more about the fate of “The Next Pro.” Will ABC ever produce a second season?
Conrad Green Discusses the Possibility of ‘The Next Pro’ Season 2
Over the summer, “Dancing With the Stars” fans loved watching hopeful dancers compete for a spot as a pro on the show. Adele Zaikman was crowned the winner and will join the cast of season 35.
As fans eagerly anticipate the season 35 premiere, many are curious to know whether or not there will be another season of “The Next Pro.”
“I think it worked really well as a show, and people who love ‘Dancing With the Stars’ got a whole new take and view on the show,” executive producer Conrad Green shared with TVLine. “It gave a lot of pleasure without cannibalizing the main show itself.”
Green felt proud that the “Dancing With the Stars” team created a show that gave fans an inside peek at what the pros really experience. He admitted that most of the pros who guest starred during the season felt relieved they didn’t undergo the “absolute boot camp” that “The Next Pro” contestants did.
“Most of our pros, when they were coming on, were like, ‘Oh my lord, I’m so thankful I didn’t have to go through that,'” Green quipped.
So far, there hasn’t been any word on a second season of “The Next Pro.” However, Conrad Green admitted he’d love to craft another season if the network approves it. For now, “Dancing With the Stars” season 35 takes priority.
Adele Zaikman Prepares For Her First Season as a Pro
As the winner of “The Next Pro,” Adele Zaikman is ready to compete in her first season. She’s teaming up with “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star, Conner Leavitt.
While competing on “The Next Pro,” Adele always ran a tight ship in the rehearsal room. However, she’s also showing off her silly side. Since announcing their partnership, Adele and Conner have made several hilarious social media content for fans to enjoy.
“It’s been surreal, honestly,” Adele told The Hollywood Reporter after winning “The Next Pro.” “I would never expect my life to change so quickly. It’s a lot to take in.”
Because she had such a rigorous experience on “The Next Pro,” the Israeli dancer now feels she can tackle whatever comes her way.
“Just working under so much pressure, making great product in two days was so, so hard,” Adele continued. “I feel like this really prepared me for ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ because now I get more time. I get a week to actually think, to realize what my partner’s strengths are. I feel like if I’ve done it in two days, I can do it in a week.”
Adele Zaikman and the rest of the “Dancing With the Stars” pros head to the ballroom when season 35 begins at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15 on ABC.
