“Dancing With the Stars” season 35 is still several months away. But in the meantime, fans and pro dancers alike are fantasizing about this year’s competitors. Reigning champion Witney Carson would absolutely love to have a Marvel star as her new partner.
It probably wouldn’t be possible due to her choice’s rigorous filming schedule, but she’s manifesting her vision anyway.
Witney Carson Wants “Spider-Man” Star Tom Holland For Season 35
Although she knows it’s a long shot, Witney Carson would love to work with “Spider-Man” star Tom Holland.
“I mean, just putting that out there. Have you seen him dance? He’s good. He’s really good. I think he’s a little busy, but you know,” the mother of two told PEOPLE.
“If I had a dream partner, honestly, I’m gonna stick with Tom Holland because he seems really sweet,” Witney continued. “He seems like he’s in a good solid relationship [withย Zendaya], which is very important to do a show like this. He would just be really fun and a really cool guy. So that would actually be great. Let’s manifest it. Why not? Tom, if you’re bored, come on over.”
But even if the show can’t secure the Marvel star, Witney Carson is excited to see what this year’s cast brings to the table.
“I’m excited to see who they have lined up. I think it’s gonna be a really good roster. Deena Katz is the casting director. She does an amazing job,” the reigning champion continued. “The two so far I’m really excited for,ย Ciara [Miller]ย andย Maura [Higgins]. I think they’re gonna kill it. I think they can dance, so that’ll be fun to watch them.”
After the interview, “Dancing With the Stars” confirmed that Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson would join the competition this fall.
The Season 34 Champion Can’t Wait For the DWTS Spin-Off
“Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” has already been filmed and is on its way to ABC this summer. As the season 34 winner, Witney Carson had the opportunity to participate. Her partner, Robert Irwin, will host the series.
โโThe Next Proโ is going to be so amazing,โ the 32-year-old confirmed to E! News, adding she will be in at least three episodes. โI judge and then Robert and I also do something together other than dancing. Iโm not gonna give it away, but it was very very cool, it was very fun.
Witney Carson made her television debut on “So You Think You Can Dance” at just 18 years old. However, she isn’t sure she would be cut out for “The Next Pro” if she had to compete.
โWe take the best 12 dancers in the country and we put them through rigorous competition to find out who the next pro will be,โ Witney explained to PEOPLE. โItโs really a life-changing thing for these dancers. So they go through a lot and they are incredible, they are amazing. I donโt know if I would be able to do it!โ
Fans can catch the premiere of “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” on Monday, July 13, on ABC. DWTS season 35 will debut at a later date this fall.
