Has the “Dancing with the Stars” tour taken a toll on Jenna Johnson? The pro dancer shared a look at her mid-tour crash out and fans offered up a flood of support.
Jenna Johnson Shares Emotional Moment During ‘DWTS’ Tour
On May 2, Johnson took to TikTok with a look at an emotional moment during the ‘DWTS’ tour.
“Sick, body hurts, on my period. This is what my angel of a manager had to deal with yesterday lol,” she wrote in the caption.
Johnson also noted on the video of her wiping tears away, “Mid crash out to my manager.”
Fans flooded the comments section to share words of support, with most agreeing that the tour is too long. The “DWTS” tour kicked off on January 22 and ends May 13.
“I really feel like your tour shouldn’t be so long,” one fan wrote. “By the end of it, everyone is sick and hurt and just exhausted. It’s not okay. Shorten the tour for sure.”
Another fan noted, “The tour is clearly taking a toll on the entire cast. DWTS really needs to fix this!!”
“Giiirl! You guys need a bit shorter tour,” one fan commented. “You’re all maxed out and need a break.”
“DWTS Tour should be name changed to Survivor. It’s a brutally tough looking endeavor,” one fan noted.
One follower shared, “This is so valid though. Tour is insanely long this year, and while I am sure you are enjoying it, you are allowed to crash out because what do you MEAN you have been performing for the last few months and sleeping on a bus? … Really hope you will get some well-deserved rest after all of this is over!”
‘DWTS’ Pros Hospitalized & Injured During Tour
Johnson’s husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, suffered a health emergency during the tour in March.
On March 1, he took to Instagram to share a message from a hospital bed. “What’s up friends? My bad. I ended up out here in Peoria, [Illinois], but the doc was cool, shout out to Claire our [personal trainer] at our tour and everybody on tour for rallying,” he wrote at the time.
Chmerkovskiy added, “I’ve just been having vertigo for the past couple of days and I had it yesterday.”
Pro dancer Brandon Armstrong was sidelined from the tour after suffering a broken elbow.
On April 25, Armstrong took to Instagram to share a health update. “OK, y’all: No easy way to say this and, honestly, I’m super bummed but you can tell I’m hurt,” he said in the video.
He continued, “I’ve been dealing with a little problem in my elbow for awhile and then a few shows ago I was doing a little thing and it just went south.”
“Long story short, I have a broken elbow,” the dancer shared. “I broke a bone in my elbow. Could be a lot worse, could obviously be a lot better. I spoke with the doctor and I’ve been counseled from that doctor and the team on tour that I need to go home and look at it and try to figure it out, see what the next steps are taken so I can get healthy again.”
