Julianne Hough Shows Up to Support Mark Ballas on Broadway: VIDEO

Julianne Hough and Mark Ballas are best known as ballroom icons and for their time on “Dancing With the Stars.” But they also maintain an incredibly deep friendship that dates back to their childhood. They were once dance partners and won the gold medal at the Junior Olympics together.

They’ve celebrated each other’s major life milestones. Now that Mark has landed one of his dream Broadway roles, Julianne gleefully showed up to support him.

Although audiences initially purchased “Chicago” tickets to see Mark Ballas star as Billy Flynn, many gushed over Julianne Hough as well. See how the “DWTS” hostess met and greeted fans while attending the show at the Ambassador Theater.

Mark Ballas & the Hough Siblings Consider Each Other Family

Seasoned “Dancing With the Stars” fans know that Derek Hough and Mark Ballas are incredibly close. They served as the best man at one another’s weddings and their friendship goes well beyond the ballroom and “DWTS” stage. They’ve become family to one another, and that certainly extends to Derek’s younger sister, Julianne.

During Mark Ballas’ April 6 debut, fans spotted Julianne Hough take her seat in the orchestra section. She smiled and waved to Whitney’s husband, Conner Leavitt, who was seated on the opposite side of the orchestra section.

Although theatergoers initially attended to see Mark Ballas and Whitney Leavitt headline the show, many felt excited and delighted to see the “Dancing With the Stars” hostess as well. Though Julianne was just there to see the show, she graciously interacted with fans prior to the performance.

As Julianne exited the stage door, fans cheered and snapped photos of the “Dancing With the Stars” hostess. The 37-year-old feigned surprise before laughing and waving to fans. It seems she thoroughly enjoyed her time at the Ambassador Theater.

Conner Leavitt Also Shows His Support During the Big Debut

Julianne Hough wasn’t the only one who showed up for Mark and Whitney’s big night. Conner Leavitt also attended the April 6 performance. He was spotted animatedly chatting and joking with fans after the show.

April 6 was Mark Ballas and Whitney Leavitt’s first night together, but they still have several weeks ahead of them. As word spreads about their spectacular performance, big names will likely seek tickets of their own.

Mark Ballas and Whitney Leavitt will star in “Chicago” on Broadway now through May 3. Tickets may be acquired through the official Broadway website.
