Influencer and “DWTS” season 32 contestant LeLe Pons is opening up about how her life has changed since the birth of her daughter, Eloisa. “[I’ve learned to have] patience and a good support system,” Pons shared with Us Weekly.
“My mom is my best friend right now, and I understand everything she went through,” she continued. “I always respected her, but now I understand [her].”
Pons attended the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 19, and admitted she felt strange being away from her daughter. “It’s bittersweet, like, I’m super excited to be here, but I miss her,” she explained, adding, “[It’s] like something I left something behind at home. I’m going back in two days, but I miss her.”
LeLe Pons Was Open About Her Pregnancy Journey
Pons and her husband, Puerto Rican rapper Guaynaa, welcomed Eloisa on July 26. The couple shared the happy news in an Instagram post the next day, with a sweet pic of their newborn’s tiny feet.
Throughout her pregnancy, the “Dancing With the Stars” alum was candid with her fans, sharing pics of her baby bump and funny videos depicting new mom life.
She hasn’t been shy about showing her love for baby Eloisa either, posting a heartwarming video to Instagram on August 7. “I have never in my life felt this type of love and happiness!” Pons captioned the post. “I literally hate sleeping cause i miss her so much. She’s so beautiful its crazy, strong, but MOST importantly healthy! Thank you God for this gift.”
The social media star concluded by writing, “Nothing compares to this feeling. It changes you. She’s my world. I love you more than anything and everything my princess 🙏🏼”
Pons Is Happy to Have Help When it Comes to Her Daughter
While Pons appears to be a very hands-on mom, she is happy to have some help, especially while Eloisa is still so little. Pons relies on her own mother a lot, and says she has been super helpful when it comes to calming her anxiety.
“It’s insane because she teaches me so much, except she’s a pediatrician, so when [my daughter is] sick and I freak out, [my mom helps me],” the influencer to Us Weekly. And as for the times she has to be away from her baby? There’s an app for that.
“I have my Nanit,” Pons said, referring to her baby monitor app. “It’s to see her when she’s sleeping [and] to see her when [I am] far away.”
