Sharna Burgess Jokes Brian Austin Green Has ‘Very Strong Swimmers’

Sharna Burgess isn’t tiptoeing around the topic of babies. She’s actually laughing straight into it. The former “Dancing With the Stars” pro recently joked that fiancé Brian Austin Green has “very strong swimmers” as she opened up about their not-so-planned journey to parenthood and her hopes for another child. Sharna also talks about how the couple is approaching family planning in their 40s with honesty, humor, and a whole lot of love.

All Unplanned Children

While Burgess got candid about expanding her family with Green, it seems the “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor has always been pretty spontaneous when it comes to plans for having children.

The 40-year-old dancer recently appeared on the “Between Us Moms” podcast and said, “Brian’s swimmers are very, very strong, and … he’s spoken about this before, but all five of his kiddos were unplanned. Obviously, he loves and cherishes every single one of them — the universe gives you what you’re meant to have — but he’s never had that experience of planning a baby.”

Sharna, who shares 3-year-old son Zane with Brian, added, “And, you know, the building and getting ready for it, so it’ll be great for him to have that experience too, when we get to it.”

A Blended Family

In addition to Zane, Green shares Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9, with ex-wife Megan Fox. He also shares son Kassius, 23, with ex Vanessa Marcil.

While they have their hands full, Sharna is hopeful to have another baby with Brian one day.

She said, “[Brian] did that amazing thing of having a vasectomy, knowing we can reverse, do IVF [in vitro fertilization], all the things. So we have that control, which is great. Having another one in general would be amazing.”

With a boy already, Sharna went on to talk about the gender of another baby. She said, “It honestly doesn’t have to be a little girl. It would be beautiful to have a little girl, I think. I always wanted one of each, but whoever is meant to be mine, I think, will come.”

Making That Dream a Reality

To make sure that day comes, Sharna said she is doing everything she can to make it a reality.

“What I do know is I’ve had my eggs checked and everything else, and we’re talking about just freezing embryos at this point to secure it,” she told the “Between Us Moms” podcast. “I am, again, really at that point. I’m 40, my body can still have a baby at 43, 44, and so I’ve hit this moment, and I have some momentum on things, and there’s stuff moving.”

And Sharna admits this isn’t an easy conversation to have. She said, “It’s such a hard conversation at 40, right? Because you’ve got this time clock. The risks are higher, and [there’s] no guarantee that IVF works. And… this fear that gets built in you of, ‘But what if I wait and it doesn’t happen?’”
