In April 2024, Spelling opened up on her “misSPELLING” podcast (via Today) about the fact that she had lost around 40 pounds. While she said that she was done losing weight, in March 2025, she talked to People about being confident (or rather, not being confident), saying, “It’s something I’m definitely still working on. I think people assume when you’re in this business, you’re an actor and you’re famous and you speak [that] you’re so confident. I’ve had a lack of confidence my entire life, and I never felt worthy enough.”

Noting that she tells her five children that they are “worth anything and everything,” she explained, “I used to speak those words to them, but inside I was thinking ‘I don’t feel that way [about myself].’ So I’m really working on that.”

Beyond that, she says she’s doing “really good” these days and that she’s having a “great time” at this point in her life. She added, “Like my friend always says, this is my Tori 2.0 time, and it really seems to be just kind of a fresh start and my second chapter. Things are going really, really well, and I’m really happy.”
