Witney Carson Reveald Her Pregnancy Surprise Via Instagram
On August 17, 2026, DWTS pro Witney Carson announced that she and her husband, Carson McAllister, are expecting their third child. The couple are parents to two sons, Leo, 5, and Jet, 3.
She shared an Instagram post that read, “We’ve been keeping a secret. A new addition to the McAllister gang is coming soon! We are so grateful and overjoyed to be growing our family.”
DisneyThe news came after it was revealed that Carson’s partner for the newest DWTS season is “Jimmy Kimmel Live” star, Guillermo Rodriguez. The first paring of the season was also revealed on August 17.
Fans were thrilled at Carson’s big news. They shared their remarks in the post’s comments section.
“So sweet the fam is growing,” wrote one follower. “Oooh, I am so happy for you,” penned a second fan.
A third Instagram user noted, “You have no idea how encouraging it is for a successful woman to promote growing a family.” A fourth exclaimed, “You have the most gorgeous clan! Congratulations!”
Is Witney Carson the First Pregnant Pro on DWTS?
Witney Carson is not the first pregnant pro to compete on DWTS. However, she is the first pro dancer to compete while already pregnant.
What that means is Carson will be in her second trimester when Season 35 of DWTS premieres in September. It adds an extra layer of determination to her return as she balances the physical demands of competition with her expanding family. However, there have also been two other pros who have competed while pregnant.
Peta Murgatroyd performed during Season 22 with celebrity partner Nyle DiMarco, while expecting her first child, son Shai, with husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She did not initially announce she was pregnant.
People Magazine reported that the pro dancer planned on keeping her pregnancy a secret until she entered her second trimester. But since she’d become pregnant just a few months into the season, her growing belly was impossible to hide by the season finale, which she and DiMarco won.
Former DWTS pro Allison Holker announced she was pregnant with her second child (her first with Stephen “tWitch” Boss) live on the series during Season 21 in 2015. She competed alongside singer Andy Grammer before stepping back. The couple later welcomed their son Maddox and a second daughter, Zaia, in 2019.
The full cast reveal for DWTS Season 35 airs on GMA on September 2, 2026. The new season begins with a two-part premiere, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at 8 p.m. EST.
