Ashton Kutcher Says He Was Fired from Gucci Show Over His Weight
The A-lister then launched into the story about the crushing firing, explaining, “I remember I got an exclusive campaign for Gucci. And I showed up, flew into Italy for the runway show.” Kutcher said he was put in a pink speedo, and weighed around 178 pounds at the time. He says after getting dressed for the show, a designer commented, “He’s too fat.” The actor brushed off the disappointing memory like a pro as he laughed, “Then I got fired.
Kutcher acknowledged the designer who ousted him from the show “had a specific thing that he wanted to see, that in his eye, was the right thing.” He continued, “It didn’t mean I was less. But it just meant that I wasn’t that for him, for that moment. You can build insecurities about those things over time, and I think everybody has those. It really does not matter who you are. Everybody’s got an insecurity.”
