Back in December, Bella Hadid debuted a platinum blonde hair color that had fans comparing her to Gwen Stefani. Now, Bella has revealed another hair transformation that has sparked comparisons between the model and fashion industry icon Anna Wintour.
“No, that’s not Anna Wintour. And it’s not an Olsen tuck,” Glamour wrote on Instagram while posting a photo of Bella, who they noted had “just debuted a major chop at Paris Fashion Week,” adding that the pageboy bob is “her shortest length ever.”
One social media user left a comment on the post that confirmed the original caption’s reference, writing, “It’s giving Anna Wintour.”
“Bella Wintour,” another person added.
A third follower left a comment, saying, “Anna Wintour look-alike!!!”
Bob Hairstyles ‘Are Taking Over Paris Fashion Week’
Bella wasn’t the only one to show up at the French sartorial event with chic short hair. E! News even explained on Instagram that “bobs are taking over Paris Fashion Week.”
To make the style-related point, E! includes photos of Bella as well as Chappell Roan, Leslie Bibb and, of course, Anna Wintour, who has kept the same bob hairstyle for ages.
Plenty of Celebrities Have Slayed Bobs
GettyWhen it comes to the bob, it’s a hairstyle that often re-emerges, which means plenty of celebrities have given it a try over the years.
“Zendaya, Hailey Bieber, Lizzo, and Ciara have all tried the style in the past several months,” Allure noted in May 2023. “And let us not forget Kourtney Kardashian, EmRata, and Jenna Ortega, whose hair now falls above their shoulders. We have seen the micro bob, extreme bob, boxy bob, French bob, Italian bob, lob, job, mob, and names we need not include. There’s little doubt the style is popular — but how does it also manage to seem brand new?”
“Every decade, there’s a new take on the bob, and with each incarnation, the bob manages to shock and awe people,” celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend told Allure.
GettyIndeed, Coveteur explained in May 2025 that “the bob has gone through many evolutions. The emergence of the pob (named after Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice’s chic bob) and the lob (aka long bob, which really just means shoulder length, I think) became symbolic of the Internet’s obsession with ‘cool girl’ beauty in the 2010s (which also relied on some form of subverting the norms of femininity through beauty labor).”
“Every so often, a bob emerges to remind us all of how powerful they are,” Coveteur added. “See: Leslie Bibb’s “c*nty little bob” for her uptight White Lotus character. And of course, there’s Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, who perhaps is the original representation of a c*nty little bob, and is the blueprint for all sleek, cropped bobs that have come after.”
