In an interview with The Wall Street Journal in October 2025, the “Zoolander” actor reflected on his marriage and how he knew Taylor was the one for him from early on. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’m really happy being with this person, and we have fun together.’ It just felt like an instinctual sort of thing,” he said.
One of the reasons they work so well together is that they share the same sense of humor. “Our shared sense of humor is the key to our off-screen relationship,” he said. “When you’re with somebody for many years, and you go through the ups and downs of life, a sense of humor is just the most important thing. Being able to laugh together and want to hang out together.”

“When we separated, my feeling was like ‘Oh, I’m failing at this’ and look at my parents, they have this incredible 50-plus-year marriage, and I can’t live up to that,” Stiller said of his own marriage in comparison to that of his parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, People reports.
In 2022, Stiller revealed that he and Taylor had resumed their relationship, which they had begun in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an October 2025 interview with E! News, Stiller revealed how he and Taylor have made things work for so long. “You just have to want to be together and want to make it work,” he said. “I think that’s the biggest thing.”
